Lab Resource Locations (Grey Labyrinth Update)

Hello! This guide talks about where you can find resources for making gadgets in every area. This guide will provide pictures of what the resources look like in-game so you can find them easier. I will make sure to regularly update this if I find new information.

Where to Find Resources

Jellystone can be found inside and outside of caves. Jellystone can also have a chance to spawn in the Conservatory.


Deep Brine can usually be found in caves or in areas near the Slime Sea. Just like jellystone, it has a chance of spawning in the Conservatory.


Radiant Ore can only be found in Starlight Strand and Ember Valley. It can spawn inside or outside of caves.


Buzz Wax can be found in Starlight Strand and in some areas in Ember Valley. It can be found hanging underneath trees, roots or rock ledges.


Wild Honey is only found in Starlight Strand. Just like Buzz Wax, it can be found hanging under trees, roots or rock ledges.


Silky Sand can be found in Starlight Strand or Ember Valley. Silky sand spawns in the beach areas, usually where Angler slimes spawn.


Primordy Oil only spawns in Ember Valley. I can usually find it on the green side of the map.


Lava Dust is another resource exclusive to Ember Valley. It can be found in the volcano area to the west.


Perfect Snowflakes are a resource exclusive to Powderfall Bluffs. It can be found in a lot of areas around the map.


Slime Fossils are another exclusive resource to Powderfall Bluffs. It can usually be found in caves, but sometimes you can find them outside of caves.


Sun Sap is a rare resource found in Powderfall Bluffs. It can be found on the trunks of the red pine trees and palm trees.


Tin Petals are a resource exclusive to the Grey Labyrinth. they can be found all over the map.


Black Indigonium is another resource exclusive to the Grey Labyrinth. It can be found in the outside areas.


Hydro Glass is once again another exclusive resource to the Grey Labyrinth. It can be found in the labyrinth leading from the portal in Starlight Strand.


Dream Bubbles are another resource exclusive to the Grey Labyrinth. It can be found in the Dream Land area where Sloomber Slimes spawn.


Magma Comb is another resource exclusive to the Grey Ruins. It can be found in the labyrinth leading from the portal in Ember Valley.


Royal Jelly is another exclusive resource to the Grey Labyrinth. It can be found in outside areas.


Strange Diamonds are a rare resource that can spawn in all areas except for the Conservatory. They usually be found in caves, but there is a very rare chance for it to spawn outside of a cave.


Storm Glass can be found during a level 3 thunder storm. When lightning strikes, it has a chance of dropping 1-4 pieces of storm glass.


Lightning Motes are also found during a level 3 storm. Lightning has a chance of spawning 1-4 lightning motes when it strikes. You cannot get both storm glass and lightning motes at the same time when lightning strikes.


Drift Crystals can be found from level 3 wind. When there is a tornado, it has a chance of shooting out 1-6 Drift Crystals.

Can't Find Resources?

If you have been looking for resources and you can't just seem to find any, here are some tips.

-Try sleeping. Sleeping can help reset spawn locations.

-Wait a few days. Give the resources time to reset by themselves if sleeping doesn't work. I do this myself when looking for Strange Diamonds and Sun Sap.

How do you know if the resources haven't reset yet?
If you still see the remains of a resource you picked up, (Rocks from where mineral resources one were, hives not dripping with wax or honey, Perfect Snowflake spouts not bubbling, residue of Sun Sap on trees, ect.) then that means the spawn locations have not reset yet. You will have to be patient, as resets may take a few in-game days.

Strange Diamond Map Locations

Want to look for Strange diamonds for Vacpac upgrades or anything else? I've marked a few known locations of caves where Strange Diamonds spawn with mineral resource flags.
(Note that the flags represent the cave they are present in and not just mark individual locations of the diamonds.)

Tips

-I have been able to find Jellystone and Deep Brine in all places in the Conservatory.

-I recommend looking for Strange Diamonds in Starlight Strand, as their are a lot of spawn points in the caves.

-Perfect Snowflakes are sometimes found on walls or hard to reach places. Wait until night for the aurora bridges to appear so you can collect the resources without falling.

-Most resources make sounds when you are near them, so you can locate them by sound. (ex: Buzz Wax and Wild Honey make buzzing noises when you are near them.)

-There is a treasure pod behind the Boom Gordo that contains a Strange Diamond if you can't find any.

-You can get 3 pieces of Sun Sap from a pot when you pop the Saber Gordo and from a treasure pod located in Powderfall Bluffs.

-Strange Diamonds can usually spawn in the same spawn locations as any other mineral resource (Jellystone, Radiant Ore, Slime Fossils, etc.)

I was able to find them in the labyrinth area leading from Starlight Strand. The labyrinth I am talking about is the one with water in it.

strange diamonds can very rarely spawn outside of caves and buzz wax can spawn in ember valley (the high up bit near the crystal gordo that looks tropical)
