LunarLux: Complete Star Mark (Achievement) Guide

This guide aims to mark all 29 items in the "Record" page with a ★. The conditions for marking a ★ are almost identical to the conditions for unlocking achievements, so this guide can also be used to achieve all achievements.

Preface

I am a Japanese speaker, and I originally wrote this guide in Japanese. I have translated it into English for the community. I have tried to faithfully translate the proper nouns that appear in the game, based on the original English version of the game. Please forgive any unnatural parts in the English text.

I am aware that there are already guides available for individual items. I apologize for any overlapping content. I have included links to each of these guides in the respective sections. Since my guide is text-based, guides that include screenshots can be very helpful. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the creators of those guides.

The motivation behind creating this guide was my own struggle to find some skills and EX-enemies throughout the world of Luna. I hope this guide will help fellow LunarLux fans enjoy the game to the fullest.

1.1 Story Completion

When the Story Completion value reaches 100%, you will receive the ★ (star mark). To achieve 100%, defeat the final boss, watch the end credits, and then save your game.

1.2 Quest Completion

By completing all 27 quests, you can achieve 27/27 and receive the ★ (star mark). The starting locations for each quest are as follows:

1.3 Lucky Events Discovered

When the Lucky Events Discovered value reaches 5/5, you will receive the ★ (star mark). There are five events where you can see a shooting star while flying in the jet suit. Confirming a shooting star in five different locations will set the value to 5/5.

To trigger the event, fly in the air using the jet suit and repeatedly press the A button for about 20 seconds. Eventually, Tetra will inform you about the shooting star.

Immediately after witnessing this event, the items you collect will double. It is highly recommended to first increase the three collectible gumdrops. Furthermore, gumdrops are best used by Bella for the "Relic Sword" obtained late in the game, so they won't be used until then. Save three of the lucky events for the end game.

For the remaining two events, it is recommended to increase the shield boosters. Especially in Chapter 1, right after you can use the jet suit, see the shooting star in Regolithia, and then increase the shield boosters. Use these two on Bella to make the early game easier since her unupgraded shield only has 1/4 strength.

1.4 Echo Encounters

By encountering Echo Cat in five locations, you can achieve 5/5 and receive the ★ (star mark). The locations and rewards for Echo Cat are as follows:

Whether Echo Cat appears in an area is determined by chance. If Echo Cat is not present, try entering and exiting buildings or moving between areas a few times.

1.5 S-Ranks Obtained

By obtaining an S-Rank (no damage) in 100 battles, you will receive the ★ (star mark).

As the story progresses, enemies will have more HP and their attack patterns will become more intense, making it harder to achieve S-Ranks. My recommendation is to defeat many battle bots in the Battle Simulation Room of the Lunex Space Station. By finishing them off with Lux Combos, you can also contribute to the "Lux Combos Performed" achievement.

Additionally, when defeating battle bots, it's beneficial to use support skills such as "Exp Boost," "Astro Boost," and "Byte Boost" to maximize your rewards.

1.6 Lux Combos Performed

By executing Bella's Lux Combos 100 times, you will receive the ★ (star mark).

Utilize battle bots for this task. On the first turn, use the Relic Sword with "blue-blue" to charge the Lux meter up to 90%. Additionally, the battle bots have an attack that grants "Lux +10%," which, when Bella receives it, will fill the meter to 100%. Using the support skill "Lock-On" on Bella can also be beneficial.

Moreover, equipping "Meter Boost" significantly increases the chances of activating a Lux Combo on the second turn. (If you have enough Bytes, buying Battle Mints ensures a guaranteed Lux Combo on the second turn.)

1.7 Lux Combo Mastery

By using all 30 Lux Combos at least once while having the recipes, you can achieve 30/30 and receive the ★ (star mark). You can check the status of your Lux Combo mastery in Codex->Combo.

The first seven recipes are collected as part of Ouro's quest. They cannot be obtained until the quest is accepted.

If you use the correct skill combination for a Lux Combo without having the recipe, you will obtain the recipe for that combo. However, to earn the ★ in the combo section, you will need to use the same Lux Combo again.

1.8 Database

LunarLux features a total of 31 different enemies. Each of these enemies has an EX (enhanced) version and a ZX (super enhanced) version. By defeating all 31 EX and ZX versions, you will achieve EX 31/31 and ZX 31/31, and receive the ★ (star mark).

Defeating a ZX enemy also counts as defeating its EX counterpart.

Below is a list of locations where you can encounter the EX versions of enemies after completing all main story and quest content (including postgame quests). If you challenge these enemies in HARD mode, you will encounter their ZX versions.

You can fight the ZX enemies directly if you prefer, but due to the power difference, it may be challenging. It's recommended to first defeat all EX enemies, then once your characters are sufficiently strengthened and you are familiar with the enemy attack patterns, challenge the ZX enemies. The key is to use healing items every turn and not hesitate to use shields. With persistence, you will eventually be able to defeat even the toughest enemies.

You can obtain exactly 80 skill boosters before completing the game, which is enough to max out (level 3) the active skills for two characters.

However, in the postgame, you can obtain an item called "Limit Breaker" that increases the max level to 4. The percentage for this record will also be recalculated. Additionally, you will gain access to Tycho's Energy Drink headquarters, where you can purchase unlimited skill boosters.

Tracking every skill booster while progressing through the main story can be challenging, so I personally recommend maxing out skills after entering the postgame. (Thank you, vending machine!)

2.4 Support Skill Mastery

By obtaining all support skills and leveling all blue support skills to 5 (the maximum level), you can achieve 100% and receive the ★ (star mark).

The method for obtaining support skills has been covered in the previous section. The main challenge is that even after completing the postgame content, you will find that you are significantly short of the skill points needed to fully level up the support skills.

First, defeat the EX-Enemie and ZX-Enemies listed in the database. Bosses, especially EX and ZX types, give a large number of skill points. If you still need more skill points, repeatedly defeating EX-Zenotauros in Sector 12: Mt. Piton is a good strategy.

2.5-10 Sector Affinity

By maxing out the hearts indicating Affinity (絆) with the residents of each sector to 5, you can obtain the ★ (star mark).

In such cases, focus on completing main story events and quests.

Especially for Lunex and Tycho, there are quests available in the postgame, so even after finishing the main story, you might still need to complete these quests to max out the hearts to 5.

3.1 Secret Title: Rock Connoisseur

You can obtain this Secret Title and the ★ (star mark) by repeatedly talking to the rocks in Regolithia. This Secret Title can be acquired during Chapter 1.

All Secret Titles grant a ★ when obtained.

3.2 Secret Title: Dumpster Diver

You can obtain this Secret Title and the ★ (star mark) by repeatedly talking to the trash cans inside various buildings in Regolithia and other locations. This Secret Title can be acquired during Chapter 1.

3.3 Secret Title: Buddy's Friend

You can obtain this Secret Title and the ★ (star mark) by repeatedly talking to the small dog in Regolithia. (Near the location where you first encounter Murk Slayer in the beginning of the game.) This Secret Title can be acquired during Chapter 1.

3.4 Secret Title: Plush Collector

By placing 12 plushies in Bella's room, you can obtain this Secret Title and the ★ (star mark). In addition to the 3 plushies that are there from the start, you will collect 9 more plushies through 4 events to complete the collection.

Three of these gumdrops (those that are not quest rewards) can be doubled through lucky events, allowing you to obtain up to nine gumdrops. My personal recommendation for using the gumdrops is to spend eight of them on the Relic Sword and keep one for collection purposes.

3.6 Secret Title: Just in Time!

In Sector 1: Colony Silica, there is an hourglass in the bottom right of the first floor of the cave. Flip the hourglass and reach the ! mark in the top left of the floor within 60 seconds to trigger a special event and obtain this Secret Title and the ★ (star mark).

3.7 Secret Title: Speedrunner

In Sector 1: Colony Silica, talk to the NPC Emilienator. Depending on your playtime at that point, you will receive one of the following Secret Titles. Regardless of which title you receive, you will also get the ★ (star mark).

If it's your first playthrough, it might be best to delay talking to Emilienator and receive "Lunar Explorer!" This allows you to fully enjoy the dialogues and the world of LunarLux. Save the thrill of speedrunning for your second playthrough.

To obtain "Code Breaker," you need meticulous planning, exceptional gameplay skills, and the use of some glitches (like boss skips and support skill optimization) to meet the time requirement. (Or perhaps, you are a "Code Breaker" yourself.) In practice, "Master Speedrunner" can be considered the fastest achievable title.

3.8 Secret Title: It's Over 1000!

By dealing over 1000 damage in a single hit during a battle, you can obtain this Secret Title and the ★ (star mark).

This is easily achievable in the Postgame. For example, by using the Lux Combo "Snack Time!" with three level 4 Cheesecake Bombs and the PowerChip turned on, you can easily achieve this.

3.9 Secret Title: Wave Master

In the postgame, score over 5000 points in the mini-game to obtain this Secret Title and the ★ (star mark). This mini-game is part of the postgame story, but if you don't achieve the required score then, you can try again later.

As a tip, keep Bella on the right side of the screen as much as possible and aim to score 5000 points just with the 10-point cheesecake bars on the water surface. Be patient and persistent for about 5-10 minutes after the screen scrolling speed reaches its maximum to achieve this. Go for the airborne cheesecake bars only when you have more than 3 health points.
