Bellwright beginner guide
By yevusi
i see there are already good guides which explains specific areas of the game, no need to repeat what is already done,
trying to focus this guide on things that might not be clear to new and intermediate players,

in time, if there is a need, this guide will expand to cover more topics

hope this help.

Getting started - Early Game
Early Game Resources

  • rocks
  • wood
  • river reed
  • flax

Early Game Research
try to always have an active research,
pick your best researcher and assign priority 1 to his/her research, keep changing the main researcher villager when you get a better one. Lubomir is a great researcher everyone starts with until you find a better one.
the following traits contribute to the research skill:

i find it's quicker to bring the required resources yourself to the table

what to focus on first?

Early Game equipment
  • club - better early game weapon than axe
  • simple axe - your best friend for gathering wood
  • simple pickaxe - for tin and copper, and if you can't find loose rocks, can be used to mine rocks
  • armor - always try to equip the best armor you can craft, for yourself and your villagers as well,
just notice some types of armor make you run much slower, so experiment and use what's best for your game style

There are also 6 or 7 flax plants near the bell tower where you start out.

I find flax to be abundant right on south fields of beginner village. You might want to build a bit further south to get easier access to river reeds

how/where to find or harvest flax when starting out?
