With the "Cheater's Ring", it is possible to go through walls. One secret room, inaccessible through normal means, contains the warp song for the Flame monuments room on the wall texture .
Anyway, about a week ago someone posted a method that blows all others out of the water (though it's a bit spoiler-ish of a very secret place).

Why? Because it requires zero bubbles. This was important for me, because the noob I am, I didn't learn the bubblejump on the first playthrough. I got to 15 bunnies without bubblejump.
The hardest part in this route is at the last switchable door/blocks, because it requires three quick button presses in a row (jump+use remote+use remote). All other jumps require only two quick buttons in a row (jump+use disc or jump+use remote).
