Introduction and General Tips
Welcome to my hints and general tips guide for Lorelei and the Laser Eyes! To begin, please be aware that there are potential spoilers in the sections below, and will be spoiler-tagged as such other than a general section name for ease of use. The puzzles are in a general progress order according to how relatively soon you can solve them, but there's many different ways to go through the game so your playthrough almost certainly won't be identical. This game is incredible and fantastic even when you're running your head into a wall, so I would recommend not using these hints unless you're very stuck and can't find anything else to work on while you mull over that particular puzzle. I will also list multiple hints for major puzzles as well as potential prerequisite items/information required to solve the puzzle (assuming that you've physically made it to that puzzle), with the hints starting from more vague at the beginning and becoming more direct with every hint. Please be aware that for many puzzles, the prerequisites may be more of a spoiler than the hints are.

Please let me know if there's any hints that I should either make easier or harder, if there's a puzzle that I should add a tip for, or for any other reason related to this guide. Also, if you found this useful, feel free to rate it thumbs up so that other people will see it easier!

Without further ado, here are some general tips that can help you discover the truth!

  • Get a notebook/Post-Its ready if you haven't already. The game is very forgiving with the photographic memory and mental notes systems, but there's still a lot of information that isn't covered by those and keeping it all straight helps you to keep progressing!

  • Save more often than you think you need to. There is no auto-save and there are potential game overs as is alluded to in the in-game instruction booklet. There's no penalty for making plenty of saves and (spoilers for mid-game)if you're getting chased by a Maze Man, the computer by the front desk can be reliably saved at before attempting the interrogation.

  • If you get stuck on one puzzle, go elsewhere or take a break! This is classic puzzle game advice and it never fails, especially in more open ended games like this where you can almost always go do something else and might in fact need to since you may lack critical information.

  • Pay attention to the story, characters, years, and other recurring elements. Your puzzle-solving will be aided greatly if you pay heed to the story and themes therein, since a big element/theme of the game is recursion, with many elements of the story repeatedly happening in slightly different ways. If you know what has happened, you can know what will happen, and vice versa. Pic related:

  • Don't overthink it! If you think you need external information for a puzzle, you're probably overthinking it. There are a lot of reference materials in the library as well as (mid-game spoiler)the magician's tent in the backyardfor any puzzle involving more arcane elements. There are a couple of shortcuts that are a little crazy, but no major puzzles will throw anything that you can't handle with what the game gives out- you just might not have it yet. Also, all the progression items are obvious and common sense- you'll know when you have the right key for a particular door for example.

  • Use the photographic memory and mental notes liberally. These systems are fantastic and I think more puzzle games should include things like these in the future, since rote memorization/writing down every single pattern and clue are not the fun elements of a puzzle game. Make sure to find and solve the map tubes to add maps to your memory too! I still recommend keeping notes, but this helps cut down a lot of time on busywork!

  • Money is only for non-necessary things and you can't miss out on anything by doing something else. There is also enough money to buy everything in one playthrough, so no need to worry there. In terms of seeing the entire game, the final sequence of the game where it does lock you in to the end is very well telegraphed, and you can still load your last save after finishing anyways if there's something left undone.

  • Many solutions are randomized, so even if you get stuck, you'll need to figure out the method anyways. That's part of the reason this isn't a solution guide, the other part being that I think that even if you need help, you'll enjoy still figuring out most of a puzzle for yourself even if you needed that little help. I respect the game's decision to not include any hint/auto-solve mechanic, although I personally think that sometimes even veteran puzzle solvers need a little help.

Now, onto the hints!
Shortcuts
General: I'm putting the shortcut hints first because they're non-necessary but very helpful, and will come up at many different points in the game. The assignment of puzzles to doors is completely random for each save, as well as some of the solutions, so don't use the screenshots below for your own game!

Prerequisite Items/Information:S.C. Bolt's Number Puzzles book from the library

SC Bars

Hint:The vertical lines of the bars are obscuring other vertical lines that you would otherwise see.

SC Coins

Hint:If the left hand has half the total amount of coins and the right hand has half that amount, then the right must have a quarter of the total amount of coins.

SC Maze

Hint:This puzzle is mostly self-explanatory, but be careful in the upper left portion since the criteria we're working off of is least amount of turns, not least amount of distance covered.

SC Sentences

Hint:You don't need to know any foreign language words to solve this. Each of the sentences above the numbers is exactly 4 words long.

SC Strange Man

Hint:The strange man talks about degrees in place of where someone would normally give a time. How can those things possibly intersect?

SC Number Grid

Hint:What is the commonality between the different sections of the grid that are filled in?

SC 4 Digit Long Sequences

Hint:I think I remember a book talking about these years...

SC Unbroken Sequence

Hint #1:There is a pattern with the numbers, but it might be hard to see unless you break the sequence up.

Hint #2:81 and 100 are the last two numbers of the proper sequence.

SC Shape and Number Grid

Hint:This one seems more tricky than it is- consider that every row is a specific 4 digit number that is related to the others in some way.

SC Germanium

Hint:The overload of information is actually just providing you multiple different ways to arrive at the same answer.

SC Simple Sequence

Hint:Read the question again carefully.

SC V and L

Hint #1:What field of math often has answers of 135?

Hint #2:You need to use the right angle of thinking to figure this one out.

SC Strange Characters

Hint:Notice how the two sets of characters are actually pretty similar to each other...

SC Numbers in Shapes

Hint:The different numbers are reflective of the shapes outside them.

SC Lines and Numbers

Hint:Where might you find lines that mean specific numbers when they are pointed a certain way?

SC Hidden Number

Hint:This is as straightforward as it sounds, don't turn your head sideways or anything.

SC Names and Numbers

Hint:The first and last letters of the names are highlighted because they're the only parts of the names that matter for their corresponding numbers.

SC Octagon Room

Hint:This is pretty self explanatory, but in case you didn't know, there are 360 degrees in one full rotation.

SC Cardinal Directions

Hint:In what situation does North correspond to 0 and South correspond to 30?

SC Dice

Hint:Use the top of the dice to help you keep track of each die's rotation.
Tutorial
I'm referring to the first few puzzles/moments of the game (up to getting your room key) as the tutorial so I can group them together since they're fairly simple and more about introducing the story and gameplay than presenting a challenge.

  • Your only controls are WASD or arrow keys, one action button (Space and Enter work), and Escape for Settings/Main Menu.

  • Make sure to check out your car and the map behind it before going ahead.

  • Gatehouse Lock-Make sure to read the underlined elements in the letter from the dog and the letter from the car.

  • Gatehouse Panel Lock-Make sure to read the underlined elements in the letter that's pinned to the cork board in the gatehouse and consider the current year of the story, that was established in the previous letter/lock.

  • Gatehouse Panel-Self-explanatory, two ways to avoid using an IRL calculator/scratch paper are to use the nearby Byte-Seyes's calculator function, and using the ones place as a heuristic for what can be correct (only things that end in four can work).

  • Front Door Keypad-You can read the underlined elements in the letter from the gatehouse to get the answer, but you don't even have to do that math with what's on the keypad itself.

  • Meeting with him-As you might have noticed, one of your first mental notes is meeting with "him." This is important for progressing since although you can freely explore a bunch of the hotel now, you will definitely need to get into the front office that he is talking in to start getting things done. To trigger him leaving the front office and talking to you, you need to have entered the basement and 3rd floor of the hotel (the 1st floor being the floor you entered), then return to the front door of the hotel.

  • Key Cabinet-This is mostly self-explanatory given the underlined elements in the letter right next to it, but if you're stuck it's likely because, like me, you made a "wrong" 1 by doing it on the left side rather than the right side.

After this, you will have your room key and have even more free reign over a bunch of the hotel, where you can start on many different puzzles now. Good luck!
Document Tubes
Prerequisite Items/Information:Notes: Architect's Sketches, 2014 room key

General: These tubes are scattered across the mansion and can all be accessed after acquiring the 2014 room key. If you haven't figured out where to find the codes for the tubes, find where the names on the tubes match to.

"Symmetric design" Page

Hint:Reread the name of the page if you're calculating the cost wrong.

"Modern design proposal" Page

Hint:"Any hidden costs?" is meant as a cheeky crossword style clue, not an actual reference to real surprise costs listed elsewhere.

"Modular room design" Page

Hint:You have to create the room design at the top of the page with the pieces at the bottom for as cheap as possible. The obvious rectangle and square combination seems pretty expensive however...

"Simple room design" Page

Hint:Upside down question marks are not normal in English.

"Component-based mansion design" Page

Hint:Do you enjoy playing Spot the Difference?

Magician Posters
Prerequisite Items/Information:N/A

Hint:Don't worry, these are as self-explanatory as they seem and you shouldn't overthink doing the obvious thing. The controls are a little confusing so you may not have realized, but you can adjust the order of the pieces by using directional inputs before "saving" the poster with the action button/key. Although you can solve them very early, the information from them is used later. Luckily you don't worry about remembering them yourself: the posters are saved to your memory.

Movie Poster Door Locks and Rooms
Door Locks near Movie Posters

Prerequisite Items/Information:Film boxes near the TV in room 2014

General: The movie posters are randomized, and therefore the answers are also. All the movie posters are accessible from entering the hotel, and there are five locked rooms nearby them in total.

Hint #1:These posters seem to be placed in strange ways...

Hint #2:Is there a set of 4 numbers associated with these movies?

Hint #3:If the numbers are related to the movie posters and then the posters are altered in a particular way, what should happen to those numbers?

If you're having problems with the puzzle pictured above in particular:Imagine that the Roman numerals applies to the original poster and date before trying to solve the altered version.

Movie Poster Rooms - Safes

Prerequisite Items/Information:Letters nearby the safes

Hint:The codes are relatively easy to find with the letters found in the rooms, but you'll need to figure out how to enter them. It's not too bad.

Computer Files
General: There are5computer files in total.

Prerequisite Items/Information:Computer discs from movie poster rooms

Hint:These are relatively self-explanatory and the important information is saved to memory, so although you won't be using that information for a good while, it'll be ready when you need it.
Bug Report 2
Prerequisite Items/Information:Floor 3 map

General: The only thing gating this puzzle is having theFloor 3 map for the door codeso it is fairly easy to access early, but as indicated by the 2 in the name, you likely won't need it for a while. This puzzle is also easier to solve after playing for longer, so don't be afraid to skip it for the moment.

Hint #1:You're seeing it right: the busts in the room are the same as the statues in the front yard.

Hint #2:Each bust/statue directly represents a character in the game.

Hint #3:Busts usually have names on them, and names don't normally have numbers in them.
Exhibition Hallway Keypads
General: These two keypads are found in the exhibition hallway that is blocked off by a stanchion initially. This is removed when you have entered room 2014 for the first time and then return to the exhibition entrance.

Sculpture Keypad

Prerequisite Items/Information:General knowledge of the story thus far

Hint:The sculpture near the keypad is named "Nome" which means name, and you should be familiar with the 5 letters on that sculpture if you've been paying attention to names.

Backyard Doorway Keypad

Prerequisite Items/Information:N/A

Hint:Make sure to both look at the nearby lithograph and interact with it, you need information from both for the keypad.

Broken Backyard Key
Prerequisite Items/Information:N/A

General: I'm calling this the Backyard Key as spoiler prevention for the table of contents, this is more accurately namedthe dead woman's key.

Hint:The relevant information to correctly assemble the key is in the same frame as the body and the key.

Backyard Gate
Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Hint #1:Make sure to again both look at the plaque and interact with it.

Hint #2:The gate has relevant information on it.

Magician's Tent
Prerequisite Items/Information:N/A

Hint:Make sure to read the note next to the crystal ball.

Elevator
Prerequisite Items/Information:N/A

General: The elevator is apparently broken given what is attached to it, and you'll want to remedy that to access new parts of other floors.

Hint #1:The phone number for the building caretaker (Hausmeister GmbH) is crossed out, but maybe there's a way to get it and call them?

Hint #2:There's a telephone directory in the front office, perhaps one of the only phone books you'll see in a piece of media this year.

East/West Door Locks
East Door

Prerequisite Items/Information:Backyard access for the E-shaped key

Hint:Have you checked the backyard thoroughly?

West Door

Prerequisite Items/Information:Elevator access and backyard access for the crank, for the W-shaped key

Hint #1:There's an awfully promising looking key dangling from a chandelier at the bottom of the main stairs in the hotel.

Hint #2:You'll need to go to the backyard to find the crank to get it down, and use the elevator to get to that part of the second floor.

Hint #3:A bookcase with two lanterns on either side blocks your path to the main foyer on the second floor, but luckily one of the lanterns seems rather odd...

Library Shelved Books
Prerequisite Items/Information:Elevator access

Hint:The second floor's shelves is filled with 19th century tomes that are stuck in their shelves, maybe there's one that's important?
Roman Numeral Locks
Prerequisite Items/Information:"Counting with Roman Numerals" from the library is very helpful but not technically necessary if you've been paying attention and know Roman numerals already.

Hint:You should be noticing a pattern with a certain three numbers, but the book mentioned above should help if you haven't yet.
Grand Piano
Prerequisite Items/Information:N/A

Hint #1:If you have knowledge in the field of music, especially piano/percussion, throw it out the window so you don't overthink this puzzle like I did.

Hint #2:The sheet music and the numbered keys are the only relevant components of the puzzle, although the fully functional piano is a nice touch.

Hint #3:The years on the keys are indeed those years, but it's better to see them as individual numbers.
Grandfather Clock
Prerequisite Items/Information:"Tick Tock: Timekeeping Systems", general knowledge of analog clocks, or the similar movie poster room safe puzzle

Hint #1:The pool table offers useful information for the clock.

Hint #2:The pool table gives us that 1847 is once again relevant, but how do we apply that to a clock?

Hint #3:If you've entered 6:47/18:47 into the clock, had the man speak with you, and are confused about what to do next, then check your mental notes: there is a note in there that the clock is off by X minutes (X = a randomized value). If the clock is off, then it wouldn't truly be 6:47/18:47 when the hands are pointed there.
Bug Report 1
Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Hint #1:It shouldn't be too hard to fill in those years on the wall, but numbers won't help us here it seems...

Hint #2:Think about what the lithograph would look like if filled out correctly.

Bell Painting
Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Hint:Where else have you seen a bell?
Bug Report 3
Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Hint:Relatively straightforward, but did you check the bottom?

Sigil Door
Prerequisite Items/Information:Calling Card pattern and Easel in Garden pattern

Hint #1:You need two pieces of information with the symbols depicted to get in here.

Hint #2:Have you investigated the monitors in the front office and back of the gatehouse?
Music Box
Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Hint:If you didn't guess what you're trying to make with the smears already, it's printed directly onto the record in the music box
Wine Racks
Prerequisite Items/Information:Hotel restaurant menu

Hint #1:Did you notice a thump behind you when you first exited the restaurant?

Hint #2:If you already have the menu, then I would recommend ordering a nice vintage from it to help you with this puzzle.
Room 1847 Lock
Prerequisite Items/Information:Dead woman's key

Hint:Have you explored the backyard thoroughly?
Toy Blocks/Chapel
Collecting Toy Blocks

Prerequisite Items/Information:Dead woman's key, elevator access, and E-shaped key

Hint #1:If you didn't notice, there were five toy blocks to begin with.

Hint #2:One of the blocks that fell down is resting on the edge of an open drain, about to fall down perhaps.

Chapel Puzzles

Prerequisite Items/Information:Toy blocks (hence them being together), Bible passage ("Book of Revelation VI" in chapel)

Hint #1:Trying to put the "correct" letter for the Four Horsemen Horsewomen doesn't seem to work, so there has to be a more correct character to use.

Hint #2:That's a rather strange "crucifix" for an otherwise normal chapel.
Horse Statues
Prerequisite Items/Information:Four Horsewomen tokens, as well as having completed the Grandfather Clock, Library, and Wine Racks Puzzle.

Hint:If you've found all the Horse statues and have certain items related to horses, you should know what to do to begin with. After that, the blocks that they unlock shouldn't be too hard if you recall earlier puzzles.
Orangerie Keypad
Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Hint #1:The information necessary is very close to the keypad, you just might need to get a wider view.

Hint #2:The heavy pooling of blood/paint is where you start on each number.
Magician's Wagon
Prerequisite Items/Information:Magic Show Ticket (from Crystal Ball/Magician Phone Call) and Red Rose (Grand Piano)

Hint:Traveling back to the woods once you have certain items will allow you to enter the show.

Hint #2:The $10 stories aren't necessary for progress, but the main act certainly is!

Sculpture with Hole in Forehead
Prerequisite Items/Information:Eye key

Hint:A similar sculpture can be found on the third floor in an area near the Bell Painting.
Card Suit Door Locks
Prerequisite Items/Information:Magician's Wagon access, playing cards

Hint #1:The playing cards you may have found can't help you get through the doors of their suits, but maybe someone offers a service that could assist you in this regard?

Hint #2:If you're missing a suit of the playing cards, make sure you've read all the documents you can.

Cafe Door Lock
Prerequisite Items/Information:C-shaped key

Hint:Have you solved the sculpture with a hole in its head?

3 Door
Prerequisite Items/Information:3-shaped key

Hint #1:Have you been past the W door yet?

Hint #2:Have you solved the music box yet?

LASER-1 Codes/Prototypes
General: There are 3 LASER-1 consoles spread throughout the hotel, and unlike the BYTE-SEYES system, these must be interacted with to finish the game.

LASER-1 Development Console Codes

Prerequisite Items/Information:Notes found in each gaming room

Hint #1:The notes in each LASER-1 room are direct instructions for their nearby console.

LASER-1 Prototypes

Prerequisite Items/Information:All three bug reports (each bug report corresponds to one prototype)

Hint #1:Unleash your inner QA tester.

Hint #2:Each of the bugs on the bug reports has a rather interesting name attached.

Red Maze
Maze Slabs

Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Hint #1:Did you read the light gray stele by the entrance?

Hint #2:Taking all the slabs, while detrimental to navigating the maze easily, is important in some way for the other red place.

Hint #3:Not only that, but it's necessary for this maze too.

Center Maze Gate

Prerequisite Items/Information:Prototypes 1-3/Bug Reports 1-3 information

Hint #1:You need 3 sets of 3 alphanumeric characters to pass this.

Hint #2:Where else have Greek letters been mentioned?

Hint #3:If this puzzle is getting to you, maybe you should relax with the LASER-1 art and entertainment system, you might enjoy seeing some funny bugs.

Maze Grave

Prerequisite Items/Information:The 9 maze slabs

Hint #1:What has nine pieces that can be identified by compass directions?

Hint #2:You're standing in the solution, but obviously we can't use the whole map on this small gravestone...

Interrogations (Tips)
Here are some tips if you're struggling with the Maze Man interrogation sequences:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • The questions are randomized but the scenes are always the same, so don't just skip past a scene you have to retry assuming that the question will be the same unless you already have good notes/memory of the scene.
  • Look for items/clues that there are 1-5 of and make sure to count them, since many questions ask about exactly that.
  • Look for very unique items/information, especially potentially hidden/hard to see things behind or inside furniture.
  • You can always retreat to the Reception/Front Office and save there, the Maze Man can't come into there and prevent you from saving.
  • I'm not entirely sure what triggers Maze Men appearances other than they begin happening after entering the Red Maze, but I believe that they're tied both to overall progress in that once you're past a certain threshold of truth and solve a puzzle or two/waste some time, they'll chase you again. This is just my conjecture however, let me know if you know anything more concrete.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stick Figure Padlocks
Prerequisite Items/Information:Note found in typewriter

Hint:Have you solved the Bell Painting yet?

Hint:The photo is all the information necessary to solve the lock if you've been following the story.

Balcony Door Padlock
Prerequisite Items/Information:Wooden figurines in the same room

Hint:The two figurines are all you need to solve this padlock.

Imprisoned Man
Prerequisite Items/Information:General knowledge of the story thus far

Hint #1:The photo is all the information necessary to solve the lock if you've been following the story closely.

Hint #2:The photo looks rather similar to a statue in the garden and a spectral entity you've bumped into.
Revolver Door/Mannequins
Revolver Door

Prerequisite Items/Information:Revolver key

Hint:Have you solved all the puzzles in the backyard?

Mannequins

Prerequisite Items/Information:Magician videocassette and Artist videocassette

Hint #1:First, you'll need the right items to be able to solve the mannequins. Have you helped the man out of a bind or two yet?

Hint #2:Where have you seen a room that you can watch movies in?

Locked Book in Library
Prerequisite Items/Information:The book "Lunar Phases of 1847", note found in female mannequin

Hint #1:Although this is a puzzle you can access very early, you cannot complete it without significant legwork.

Hint #2:Have you checked out all the books in the library and explored the loft?
Astronomical Clock/Cylindrical Object
Astronomical Clock

Prerequisite Items/Information:Note found in male mannequin, the book "The Zodiacs: Who Are We?" or knowledge of Zodiac signs

Hint #1:This puzzle cannot be solved without a relatively late piece of information, so don't worry if you've just started and can't figure it out.

Hint #2:The crux of this puzzle lies on figuring out what the letters on the inside dials and the symbols on the outside mean.

Hint #3:The letters on the inside dials are Roman numerals and the symbols on the outside are Zodiac signs.

Cylindrical Object

Prerequisite Items/Information:The book "Someone's journal", the book "Seven Moving Astronomical Objects", the paintings from "Himmelskörper"

Hint #1:This puzzle combines a late piece of information with some things you may have forgotten, so make sure to check your memory!

Hint #2:Where else have you seen the symbols on the object?

Hint #3:There is one more step of translation between the relevant piece of information and the paintings that match the symbols on the object.
Entering Room 1963
Prerequisite Items/Information:All 9 script pages from the interrogations

Hint #1:Have you met a Maze Man yet?

Hint #2:The man seems very adamant that he get all his script pages back...

Graveyard
Prerequisite Items/Information:Crucifix key, Triquetra key

Hint:The inscription on the mausoleum is relatively easy to solve, you just need the necessary items.
Mausoleum
General: This is a randomized puzzle, so don't try to solve your game's puzzle based on the images below.

Mausoleum Part 1

Prerequisite Items/Information:The map Maze Design or general knowledge of the maze

Hint:If you're confused about what to enter on the grids, don't worry because you're already touching the answer.

Mausoleum Part 2

Prerequisite Items/Information:The map Maze Design or general knowledge of the maze

Hint:What's an important point of interest to select for these 10x10 grids?

Mausoleum Part 3

Prerequisite Items/Information:The map Maze Design or general knowledge of the maze

Hint #1:If you haven't already, make an up/down input when interacting with the year plaques and see what happens.

Hint #2:The years are not relevant to solving the puzzle, only their orientation.
Red Maze Underground
Red Maze Dungeon

Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Hint:This section is just like a dungeon from an older Legend of Zelda game or similar, and isn't too hard if you think about where you need to go.

Minotaur and Statues

Prerequisite Items/Information:The Left Eye (Mausoleum) and Right Eye (Room 1963)

Hint #1:Don't worry if you can't complete the puzzle right now- the back of this room will lead back up to the initial entrance for easy access in and out.

Hint #2:You'll need to find some Eyes to fill the side statues in order to trigger the Minotaur.
Quiz Club
Quiz Club Windows

Prerequisite Items/Information:Red Maze access

Hint #1:Have you been to the Red Maze and read the light gray stele at the entrance?

Hint #2:When you remove a Maze Slab from the Red Maze, the whole screen cracks for that section of the maze. Have you noticed the shape of the Quiz Club yet?

Quiz Club Brothers

Prerequisite Items/Information:Many of the various pieces of information from around the hotel, some general knowledge of the story thus far

General Information and Tips:The Quiz Club Brothers ask a variety of randomized questions based primarily on the various documents you can find throughout the hotel. If you don't recognize a question at all, it's likely that you need to do more exploring in the hotel. You can go to your memory recall menu using the third option with the Brothers, which you will do/have done often. The first three options are always safe to choose, don't pick the fourth one unless you're sure of the answer because the Brothers' revolvers are not for show. There are a couple of questions that aren't just direct document recall, but they've been relatively obvious in my experience. There are 26 Brothers in total including the Minotaur, and you can track how many you've done with the computer.

Quiz Club Minotaur

Prerequisite Items/Information:Red Maze Underground Minotaur completed, some information that you've already acquired to have reached that Minotaur

Hint #1:Make sure you've done what he says and actually found the other Minotaur before trying to guess.

Hint #2:This Minotaur asks for a code of Greek letters, which shouldn't be a surprise if you've activated the other Minotaur and understood what it was referencing.

Hint #3:The other Minotaur has multiple sets of 3 alphanumeric characters visible once activated. Where else have you seen sets of 3 alphanumeric characters correspond to Greek letters?

Hint #4:You had to solve the Center Maze Gate in the above ground Red Maze to get to the underground Minotaur, this is solved with the exact same information.
Red Gallery
Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

Tip:The owl mask girl is serious when she said that you have to construct this in your mind's eye- this puzzle won't be recorded in your memory and you'll need to either write the answers down or remember them.

Hint #1:The owl mask girl said both that time rearranges all and that there's three symbols of truth to take away from here, and that is true.

Hint #2:Why do you appear on the wall when stepping through the room? And what do the exhibit signs say?
Year Rooms
General: To be clear, this section is about the rooms with years on them that are not 1847, 1963, or 2014. These are randomized puzzles, so don't try to solve your game's puzzle based on the images below.

Prerequisite Items/Information for all rooms:Year keys from the Quiz Club, the signs in each room (slight clue to each room's puzzle)

1932 Room

Hint #1:The sign asks us to "observe the observer" in this room.

Hint #2:The number should be easily visible and not tilted left/right for it to "count".

1938 Room

Hint #1:The main difference between the squares depicted on the sides of the room seems to be their size.

Hint #2:The camera in this room can zoom in and out for a reason.

Hint #3:The frame corners on the camera display aren't just decorative.

1948 Room

Hint:This one is relatively self-explanatory, but if you're having trouble, the "closer" direction of the animation is the one that matters, not the side that appears to be going away from the viewer.

1953 Room

Hint #1:The lighting on the busts does sometimes matter.

Hint #2:The arrows represent the camera's point of view.

1957 Room

Hint #1:The sign tells us "to form new ideas and beliefs, all we need to do is look up from what we previously thought was true."

Hint #2:"...look up..."

1960 Room

Hint:This is true for the year rooms in general, but getting a new perspective on the sculptures will make this puzzle much easier.

1962 Room

Hint #1:The sign in this room is a bit vague and misleading compared to others, but the room's puzzle isn't actually too complicated

Hint #2:If you've done puzzle boxes already, then you should know what specific numbers you're looking for.

Hint #3:The numbers are pointing in many different directions.

1973 Room

Hint #1:The smear on the camera lens is certainly not a mistake.

Hint #2:You can zoom in and out with the camera to change how the smear appears in the environment (since it will always remain the same size), which is crucial to understanding this puzzle and solving it easily.

1982 Room

Hint #1:The television displays reality.

Hint #2:Make sure to take note of the television within the television and how the numbers around it relate to it.
Puzzle Boxes
Prerequisite Items/Information:Year rooms access

Hint #1:Where else have you seen the buttons from these boxes?

Hint #2:Each box is connected to a particular year room, so there should be something in their corresponding room to help solve them.

Hint #3:Each box takes four inputs, and the year rooms contain numbers in different patterns corresponding to the boxes.
Old Woman's Memories
Prerequisite Items/Information:Torn biography pieces

General:There are nine total memories to share with the woman.

Hint #1:The clipboard nearby and what the woman is muttering should give you a hint at what she wants to hear from you.

Hint #2:If you lack the information necessary, have you figured out what the year doors are for?

Memory Codes
Prerequisite Items/Information: N/A

General: The codes are randomized to different years for each playthrough, so don't utilize the order depicted here. The names are just things I came up with for ease of use, don't take them seriously- I deliberately chose names that wouldn't give away the puzzles.

Big overall hint if you're confused by all the codes:Check the last section of the supercomputer, or notice that each code is exactly 4 characters long.

Grid Code

Hint #1:The first character must mean 1 or 2, given the constraints of the possible answers.

Hint #2:There seems to be a lot of lines crossing each other in this code.

Rectangles Code

Hint:This code is very plain, the only difference between the rectangles is their size.

Snake Code

Hint #1:Given the separation in the third character, this code feels more symbolic than literal.

Hint #2:Why are all the characters naturally slanting to the left?

Parallel Lines Code

Hint #1:This looks very pattern based at first (similar to the Grid Code), but that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense..

Hint #2:Every character here is symmetrical.

Bars Code

Hint:All the bars are identical except for one little line, so those little lines must mean something significant.

Arcs Code

Hint #1:Those arcs and circles look like something you would see in a mechanical blueprint.

Hint #2:If you haven't figured this one out, it might be time to pivot.

C Code

Hint #1:All of these characters seem pretty different from each other...

Hint #2:Maybe there's something more literal and simple rather than symbolic going on with these characters...

X Code

Hint #1:Squares/size can't be the solution, since there isn't any area to the first character.

Hint #2:All the characters seem to radiate out from the center in different ways...

Squares Code

Hint:These characters are so simple that the answer has to be something pretty obvious.

Hint #2:Think shapes.
Supercomputer
Prerequisite Items/Information:Magician Posters, Computer Programs, Symbols from Red Gallery, and Memory Codes all completed and information ready at hand

General:This is the culmination of the entire game, and as so is intended to be very hard. Don't worry if you don't get it right the first time, and make sure to double check all your information!

Hint #1:Note that the first prompt asks for a username in particular- given the Computer Programs' information, what name can we make?

Hint #2:The login will fail if you get any part wrong, and it's easiest to mess up one of the memory codes- make sure that you have a concrete reason why the code is that particular year because they all have a very obvious reason once you solve them.

Hint #3:If you're struggling with the memory codes, know that there has to be 3 of each year. If you're struggling with the username, which character is the only one that is good with computers? If you're struggling on the password, double check that you read the signs in the Red Gallery and that you took the shapes from the grid on the floor, not the wall.
Final Sequence (Post-Supercomputer)
Prerequisite Items/Information:True understanding of the events of the story

Hint #1:As the owl mask girl alludes to, you must provide 9 truths related to the story in this section. Each subsection of this maze has a place that gives you a hint for that truth and a place that you can enter that truth into. There's another short puzzle after those 9 truths but it isn't too difficult.

Hint #2:Walking into the old woman in each section will provide you the question that you need to solve to go to the next section.

Hint #3:The police investigation documents, the two different scripts, and potentially other documents will help a lot if you've not been following the story closely, since you can still access your memories here.

Hint #4:The last answer is the only one that is not spelled out explicitly anywhere. For that one, recall the tone and demeanor of the various documents in the Red Gallery, and consider the police investigation documents again.

Hint #5:If the last answer still eludes you, remember what was said at the confessional in order for you to exit the chapel.

Thanks for this guide! Bug Report 2 was the only puzzle I had to seek assistance with. (I unlocked the diamond-square Shortcut but I'm still not sure I understand why my answer worked.) At first, I was thinking that your hints for BR2 weren't helpful, but after a little reflection they were JUST ENOUGH, which is perfect. Bravo!

I was surprised your guide's introduction said there wasn't a hint system. I went the whole game deliberately avoiding Ask him for advice thinking that was for hints.

Another rather obvious hint for the very last truth:
Various people have called you a certain Latin phrase throughout the game. Perhaps it's worth looking up its meaning.

@HeaT what you described first should be correct, so double check that you're inputting the correct phases and doing it correctly, since it can be easy to input wrong phases due to how the phases appear on the lock

question about the moon phase book. i unlocked the female mannequin dates, which for me were, Dec 6, Jan 10, April 2, March, 29, Sept 3. The logic i used was referencing the lunar phases in 1847 lunar phase book and inputting the phases in that exact order starting from the top moon phase input. which did not work. then i tried date order, jan, march, april, etc. i also tried it reversed and by the actual numerical digits, 2, 3, 6, 10, 29. none of the these worked. what am i missing in the logic? thanks!

Regarding the SC involving a detective: Poirot is Belgian, and the country code you would dial to call Belgium is...

@banjo811, I think you're misreading the dates on the movie boxes/in your notes because the dates on the movie boxes aren't randomized and your answer doesn't make sense considering them. The date for "Automobile" is 1959 and the date for "The Etymologist's Dream" is 1954 . If you examine the right half of both of those, you should get something close to your original answer- 5954
