An Introduction to the Supermoves

Hello! Creative Director of Supermoves here. Here's just a few tips and tricks on how to use the parkour supermoves in the game to really help you win.

Supermoves are special tricks that give you a boost in momentum or other benefits not possible by simply chaining together movement.

You'll want to use them in the right context to utilize them appropriately - and watch out for when they're on cooldown.

All supermoves share the same 4 second cooldown, so keep in mind you can't spam them or use them in a quick succession.

The difference between using and not using supermoves is very simple - you're going to lose every race until you master all of them, so let's dive in.
Supermoves: The Frontflip
Frontflip: R2 + R1 (on controller), SPACE + E (on PC)

The Frontflip is tremendously powerful. It gives you a boost of forward momentum, especially when you are airborne. Use it every time you are moving to or from a trampoline. Use it to catch up to enemies in Bomb Tag, or to grab a faraway ledge.

The frontflip is less powerful when used without running forward, so try to use it at top speed only.
Supermoves: The Backflip
Backflip: R2 + L1 (on controller), SPACE + Q (on PC)

The most common misconception of the Backflip is that it's "useless" due to not helping you a lot when running forward. It is actually really powerful when used in the air on a trampoline, giving you precision and height not possible otherwise. It's akin to a double jump, when used correctly!

The backflip needs vertical momentum, so try to execute the Backflip once when you are going upwards from an obstacle, or if you're facing a ledge that is higher up and need the extra boost to grab it.
Supermoves: The Special Grind
Special Grind: R1 on a rail (on gamepad), E on a rail (on PC).

Freezes the balance meter. This is essential for long grinds. Don't waste it on shorter ones, as on those it won't make much a difference and will just burn out your Supermove meter.

Use this to help go uphill on rails and stay balanced when the rails get long. You'll make it much farther than the opposition!
Supermoves: The Tightrope Somersault
Tightrope Somersault: R1 when on a tightrope (on gamepad), E when on a tightrope (on PC).

Tightropes can be tricky, especially with the balance meter. It's easy to get slowed down unless you're already at top speed, but the tightrope somersault does two things: it freezes the balance meter and it keeps you at a consistent speed. It even looks stylish to boot.
Supermoves: The Wallflip
Wallflip: L1 when scrambling a wall (hold Jump on a wall) on gamepad, press Q when scrambling a wall (hold SPACE on a wall) on PC.

The Wallflip has a special utility - to confuse anyone running behind you, or to grab a high ledge that is above AND behind you. It is MADE for evasion in Bomb Tag. Get above and behind your chaser by doing a 180 flip mid-air with the Wallflip - it might just save you from getting tagged!
Supermoves: The Slide Leap
Slide Leap: R1 when sliding (L2) (on gamepad), E when sliding (SHIFT) (on PC).

Slide Leap is a cool superhero move you can do on a flat ground while sliding. You'll want to make sure there's enough space in fron of you to leap forward - this is essentially a frontflip but from a lower angle.

Best uses for the Slide Leap is just before the finish line to grab it before anyone else, or to catch up to someone in Bomb Tag. It is also very useful when there are no walls or platforms nearby and you need a boost of movement, fast.
