So here we have a simple guide to unlock your fps meter to reach some an actual 2024 framerate.

How to guide:

· Press up Windows + R and paste %localappdata% (or navigate to your localappdata folder).

· From there, navigate to 'WhatTheFog\Saved\Config\Windows'

· Open up GameUserSettings.ini with your favorite editor (notepad++ recommended)

· Edit the following lines of code (with your desired framerate)
(I'd recommend 120 for this one to avoid some stutter):

FrameRateLimit=120.000000
FrameRateLimit_OnBattery=120.000000
FrameRateLimit_InMenu=120.000000
FrameRateLimit_WhenBackgrounded=120.000000
MobileFrameRateLimit=120
bUseVSync=False 

· Save up the file we've edited
· Go to file properties and mark it as read only

I have two things to add to this.
For one thing, you can go higher than 120. I know the original poster said they didn't try any higher. I set it to 260 fps. The game feels so much better to me. When there is too much going on, the fps dips, as with any game.

The second thing is actually important. After you save the note file do not open settings in the game. Your fps settings will revert back to 60. So before you edit the file just make sure all other settings are correct and how you like them.

Indeed, 120 is the targeted framerate I used for this guide.
Haven't tried with more than that to be honest, cause in DbD it used to be the cap
and just assumed it's on the same way of coding with this one..

But you can test out +120 to see if it works!
