Buy Immortals Fenyx Rising
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2221920/Immortals_Fenyx_Rising/
You must have Immortals Fenyx Rising Bought and Installed on Steam to proceed with this Guide. It goes on sale for dirt cheap alot so i suggest getting it that way

Any DLC you purchase from the Steam Store will still work. Including the Gold Edition
(Steam Deck / Linux) Clear Proton Compatibility Data
(For Steam Deck / Linux)
Find Immortals Fenyx Rising in your Library on Steam and press Start or the Settings Cog and head to Developer and Press A on Clear Proton Files. (This will Wipe the Ubisoft Connect installation)
Applying the Fix
Download this Fix via Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Rfv2sP4VNDc8mais54I7orR4E8k1895_/view
This Link Contains a Download, Only proceed if you know what you are doing.
(On Steam Deck Switch to Desktop Mode to follow this step)

Once you have it Downloaded, Extract it, Go to Steam - Right Click on Immortals Fenyx Rising in your Library - Manage - Browse Local Files. Move all files from the "FenyxRisingFix" into the Fenyx Rising Install Directory and replace all when prompted
Play
(On Steam Deck Switch back into Gaming Mode)
Find Immortals Fenyx Rising in your Steam Library, And Press Play. Immortals Fenyx Rising should load right away. And There you have it! You can now play Immortals Fenyx Rising without Ubisoft Connect For as long as you want, Offline for as long as you want without having to Connect to the Internet.

I highly recommend this for Steam Deck users especially because Ubisoft Connect tends to Break Alot with Updates and sometimes it just won’t work Offline

It feels like a perfect experience on Steam Deck when applying this

To increase Text Size to go Options -> Language -> Set Subtitle Size to Larger

If you are running into issues accessing DLC, Season Pass or Gold Edition Content try disabling the Ubisoft Activation DLC's in of the game Properties in Steam
(If you do not have a respective DLC there will be a golden haze around its icon)

Purpose of this Guide:
To fix players frustration with Uplay, To try and silence Off-Topic Reviews and Discussions that only complain about Uplay, and to the people who refuse to buy this game because of Uplay.

I just want everyone to be able to enjoy Video Games without complaining over every little thing, It's an annoying thing that many take their games too seriously, Some miss out on gems like these because of flaws not related to the actual games themselves.

Please, Enjoy the game.
FAQ
Q: Can i unlock Steam Achievements if i apply this
A: No, since they are unlocked through Ubisoft Connect

Q: Does this work on Steam Deck and Linux
A: Yes, the game runs through Steam's Proton by default. Recommended settings for Steam Deck are available in this guide as well

Q: Where are the Saves located
A: Save Files are Located in the Install Directory in SAVE_GAMES. If you apply this Fix to Another Device you can transfer the Saves easily this way

Q: Where are the original saves located
A: The Original Save File should be in Program Files x86/Ubisoft/Ubisoft Game Launcher/savegames/userid/5405 or 62326
If you wish to Maintain your old save you can copy the Original Save into SAVE_GAMES as listed above
You can convert your saves Back and Forth from UbiConnect and this Fix using "ACSaveTool"

Q: Why does the Environment Quality need to be set to Very High?
A: Anything Lower results in flickering in the grass, it also looks best with the best performance.

Q: Can i still play DLC Content
A: Yes, But you must have the DLC bought through Steam Store. I recommend getting the Gold Edition or Season Pass

Q: How do i fix Controller Support
A: Either Disable Steam Input or go into the Steam Input settings and set it to Gamepad

Q: Does this skip all the Intro Videos
A: Yes, Since i too was not a fan of having to sit through them each and every time i start the game

Q: Why does it still need to Check for "Additional Content"
A: The game uses that time to check for DLC's and to load the game in the background

Q: Do i need to apply the fix again if i reinstall the game?
A: Yes, Your saves will not be removed if you uninstall the game through Steam

Q: Do i need to uninstall Ubisoft Connect to do this
A: No, You can keep it installed on your device and the fix will still work

Q: Do i still need to run it through Steam
A: Yes, Steam is still required to play the game even with the fix applied

Q: Can i Family Share it through Steam
A: No, since Ubisoft turned it off.

Fix for Performance Issues - Windows
If you are experiencing performance issues with or without the fix on Windows, Do doing the following:
Step 1: Download DXVK, Get the latest version, go into it's the x64 Folder, Drag "d3d11.dll" and "dxgi.dll" into the Game Install Folder
Also make sure the game is set to High Performance in Graphics settings in the Windows Settings

Step 2: Download Rivatuner / RTSS. Once that is done, Add ImmortalsFenyxRising.exe into the list, Set the Framerate limit to whatever you want it to be. 60 is recommended, do a value between 30 - 45 if you have a less powerful system, On my system i have it set to 72 because its the sweet spot, with no noticeable stuttering and the most smoothness
Rivatuner is the best way to Limit FPS for games: It works on any GPU, has perfect frametimes and uses hardware more efficiently. Press the Minimize button on the software to have it run in the background, because the x button will close it completely.

Do not use the In-Game Frame Limiter or Vsync, they are very broken, so make sure they are off in options. use Fullscreen, not Borderless or Windowed
For a better Vsync with no tearing, have DXVK installed for the game and then create a file in the game folder named "dxvk.conf"
Inside the dxvk.conf file enter the following with the space and without quotations " dxgi.syncInterval = 1" once that is in there save it
To test Screen Tearing In-Game move the Right Analog Stick to the right or hold the Right Arrow Key to move the camera

To enable Triple Buffering add the following line into the dxvk.conf file " dxgi.numBackBuffers = 3"

Triple Buffering allows for a smoother image and lower latency, but uses more Resources. Useful if you want the game to feel smooth at Frame Rates lower than 60. Triple Buffering is enabled by default on Proton / Linux

Have the Anti-Aliasing set to Medium, High looks blurry and is more intensive
I recommend using Very High Settings as the maximum if your system is powerful enough, Ultra High can cause alot of performance issues without that big of a visual improvement.
This game has a Benchmark tool in the Options to test performance, the FPS Counter in-game isn't very accurate, so use a different one such as Steam's FPS Counter to display it for benchmarking purposes.

If yall install "Proton Voice Files" from your Steam Library from search, Menu Narration will work for this game on Steam Deck and Linux. don’t know when that was added but cool

Updated the guide with tips to fix Performance Issues on Windows, and added an FAQ.
Also yall should use 90 or 85 FoV in-game. it’s better like that during exploration or in combat because at 100 its too far away
