Making translation
The instructions have been translated from Russian into English using yandex translate

1. Find the file "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor.pak" in the folder under the path:
"Steam\steamapps\common\TheLostVillage\TheLostVillage\Content\Paks"

2. Download the program from the link "unpacker.exe "[github.com] and move it next to the file "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor.pak".

3. With a computer mouse, transfer the file "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor.pak" to the program "unpacker.exe ". The program will automatically unpack this file into two folders

4. In the folder "TheLostVillage" we find a file called "Game.locres" along the path:
"TheLostVillage\Content\Localization\Game\en-US"
Copy and paste our file into a folder convenient for us.

5. Download the archive "UE4LocalizationsTool"[github.com] and unpack it.

6. Unpack the contents and open "UE4localizationsTool.exe ". In it, in the upper-left corner, click the "File" button, then "Open", then select our "Game.locres" file.

7. After that, click the "Tool" button, then "Export all text" after "No names" and save ours .txt file in a separate folder.

8. Download the script for machine translation "translation.exe"[disk.yandex.ru].

9. It is very important that .txt file and the .exe script were in the same folder. Click on the .exe file and follow the instructions in the console.(The average file translation time is one hour)
The translated file will be called "end.txt"

(Why is a script used instead of an online translator: The main problem is the variables that are located in the file along with the plain text, so when translating the automatic translator can translate the text along with the file variable, because of this the variable stops working and the translation becomes incorrect. My script translates text without variables and then embeds variables into the translated text, which makes the translation more correct)

10. After completing the script, open "UE4localizationsTool.exe ". In it, in the upper-left corner, click the "File" button, then "Open", then select our "Game.locres" file. After that, click the "Tool" button, then "Import all text" and select end.txt file and then save ours .locres file(WITH THE SAME NAME)

11. Create the folder "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor_P" and create folders along the path to Game.locres so that the final path to the file is as follows:
"TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor_P\TheLostVillage\Content\Localization\Game\en-US"
It should look like this:

12. We transfer our modified Game.locres file to the en-US folder

IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE FONT TO A SMALLER ONE, SEE THE SECTION "Adding individual fonts"

13. Download the archive "unrealpak"[fluffyquack.com]. to package our folder in .pak format and unpack it next to the folder "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor_P".

14. With a computer mouse, transfer the folder "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor_P" to the program "UnrealPak-Without-Compression.bat". The program will automatically pack this file.

15. The resulting file "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor_P.pak" is moved next to the original file "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor.pak".
It should look like this:

DONE!
Adding individual fonts
The main problem with the translated text is that it is many times larger than the original text. Because of this, the translated text may go beyond the scope and become unreadable.
To fix this, you need to add narrow fonts.

1. If you have already unpacked the original .pak file, in The Lost Village folder at the path:
TheLostVillage\Content\Font
there will be original fonts of the game in the .ufont format

2. We find narrow fonts for your language on the Internet in any format

3. Rename the format of your font to .ufont

4. We replace every .font format font in the folder with your font with the same name as the original

5. Copy the Font folder and transfer it to our folder "TheLostVillage-WindowsNoEditor_P" using the same path as the original.

It should look like this:

This is splendid. I was hoping to figure out how to translate stuff to English or make subtitles. Where can I learn more about the machine translation? Github Copilot wont help me and I'm not quite proficient with Claude yet.
