No missable achievements.

Regarding Missable Achievements

On the first anniversary of the game's release, the developers released the "Year of the Crab" update. This update added "New Game Plus" (NG+) to the game.

Said NG+ does NOT simply boost the enemies' stats and calls it a day, like many other games do.
NG+ for Another Crab's Treasure completely overhauls the entire enemy and item placement, on top of changing the routes through which you progress through each area and adding new moves to some bosses.

This has somewhat invalidated some of the information given in the guide below.
The good news is that you start NG+ from the Title Screen after the credits have rolled, and that you can easily select a different save slot for your NG+ playthrough.

Specifically check out the "Stainless Relics" chapter further below, before you advance to NG+.
The achievement just below previously required you to grab 15 out of 16 available Relics to max out the weapon.
NG+ removed the relics from their original positions and added another 14 (that I could find) at alternative locations. But they also added 2 more weapon upgrades on top, which require those new Relics.

I assume that you still only ever need 15 Relics total to get the achievement, but I can't check it anymore, since I've unlocked the achievement long before the update.
As such, I highly recommend you to unlock it, before you progress your save to NG+.

From Heikea's boss area (at Expired Grove -> Village Gates), go east, drop down, make your way through the cave to the Curdled Village. From there, fish hook your way up along the northern border, go all the way north, make a westward U-turn and go southwest towards the algae field.

This area is intended to be accessed from the tree top path in the Expired Grove.
Though you can just start at Flotsam Vale -> Company Town, walk all the way north and jump up to him, especially with Bartholomew's upwards boost shell ability. (Bought at Shellfish Desires in New Carcinia's Upper Crust).

Max out all 3 skill branches.
Unlocking all of them at once requires 660 out of 1400 of the purple crystals.
You can also unlock them one by one with just 235 crystals, by resetting with Shark Eggs after each branch (most easily obtained in New Carcinia - Lower Crust at the Prawn shop). Thanks to Turbobuddah for pointing this out!

Go to Settings -> Assist mode and toggle the Gun option.
This does NOT work from the main menu. You need to load into the actual game for the option to become available.
Once that's done, find a crab and shoot it.

Refers to the "Knight's Helmet", found almost at the end of the game.

Start at The Old Ocean -> Lookout Tower.
Make your way east towards the building with the huge elevator. Upon leaving the elevator on the upper floor, hug the left-hand wall, the one initially leading South.
Around the corner, there's gonna be a cracked wall leading to broken stairs going upwards. This leads to a pretty lengthy Jump & Run section, which ends on an island with the Helmet in the middle.

	Well Adapted	Learn all adaptations.

There's 8 adaptations in the game. 6 of them get unlocked upon killing bosses (Magista, Topoda, Consortium, Cevice Sisters, Voltai, Petroch).
The 7th adaptation can be obtained in New Carcinia -> Lower Crust. Find Erich, the talking Urchin, and keep "hugging" him.
The 8th adaptation is in the Sands between. Go all the way west and to the top of the spiked hill, next to the garbage dumpster.

Stainless Relics

As pointed out at the very top of this guide, I'm not a 100% sure how this achievement works, now that the "Year of the Crab" update has launched and introduced New Game Plus.

You previously needed to find 15 out of the 16 available Stainless Relics.
I assume unlocking the achievement still works the same.

But New Game Plus removed the original 16, while adding another 14 Relics (that I could find) to alternative locations, alongside two more stages of available weapon upgrades, so you may need to find more now. If that's the case, you could be able to lock yourself out of this achievement, by overwriting your playthrough with the NG+ file, before collecting all these Relics. Make sure to avoid that.

---------------------- First Playthrough ----------------------

New Carcinia:

• Reef's Edge: Backtrack to the grappling hook platform.
  
• Lower Crust: Buy at Prawn Shop for 5000 Microplastics.

Expired Grove:

• Defeat Heikea.
  
• Go all the way north on the path between Topoda and the Curdled Village. There's gonna be a hole dropping you down into a cave. Open the shell inside.

Flotsam Vale - Factory:

• After the first Magnet, it's at the end of the fishing net Jump & Run.
  
• From the roof of the building with the Mag-Rail Platform fast travel point, complete another fishing net Jump & Run.
  
• Make your way to the roof with the circling magnet. The Relic is downstairs.

The Sands Between (after having obtained Topoda's and Voltai's adaptations):

• Go to the upper level of the eastern region by smashing an Umami Cube. The relic's northwest of the broom.
  
• Go to the upper level of the northwestern region by smashing another Umami Cube and getting access to a wind shaft. Go up and find the 2 crabs fighting with miniature ships and bottles. One of them drops the relic.
  
• From the previous relic, go north to find a battery-crab. Activate it and follow the path for another relic.
  
• From the fast travel point just before Flotsam Vale, go south for another battery crab. The relic is on the bridge.

The Unfathom:

• Hermit's Plateau: Go east and complete the short sponge Jump & Run
  
• Luminous Respite: Go to the area northwest with the giant crabs. Relic is somewhere in the middle.
  
• Defeat Inkerton.

The Old Ocean:

• City Gates: Progress normally to the building with a shortcut on the roof. The one with a dangling chain next to it, where you talked to Chitan. From the rooftop look directly south and you'll see the shell with the relic, on a platform reached by jumping on a blue sponge.
  
• Lookout Tower: Just north of the Moon Snail Shell is a blue sponge semi-hidden beneath the ledge. Jump on that sponge and the one almost immediately after it to get to a rooftop path. Final Relic is at the southern end of it. Thanks to TreeRex11 for telling me about this relic in the comments!

---------------------- NG+ Playthrough ----------------------

Fort Slacktide:

• After aquiring the pearl, return to the fort and climb the eastern tower. From the platform with the shortcut and one of the sea horses, drop down and find the first new Relic in the standard shell.

New Carcinia:

• Along the main path through the riffs before the city, the Relic is on a platform with Umami coated hammercrab.

Expired Grove:

• After Heikea: Drop down towards east, enter the cave and leave halfway through into the small alcove with the shortcut towards Flotsam Vale.

Flotsam Vale - Factory:

• On the platform lifted by the crane, which's switch is just before you enter the letterbox for the second piece of the map.
  
• At the swamp-bottom of the eastern tower. Rquired to be visited for the NG+ route through the factory.
  
• Top of northern tower with the 2 fake version of the optional paint-roller boss in the middle of the Flotsam Vale area. Relic is behind the electricty hammercrab.

The Sands Between (after having obtained Topoda's and Voltai's adaptations):

• Accessed through the crane in the dangling chains area
  
• Dropped by the comparatively huge rolling crab with the snowglobe shell, located on the elevated platform east of the trash bin; accessed through on the purple cubes.
  
• At the northern-most part of the elevated eastern area; the one accessed by destroying another of the purple cubes. Check the part overlooking the small alcove with two of the hammercrabs.
  
• On top of the hill jump & run at the base of the broom.
  
• At the end of the eastern crane jump & run -> kill anglerfish at the end
  
• On the bridge lowered by the crane just east of "Sands Between" nametag on the map
  
• At the very end of the southern coral area jump & run - the actual end after the U-turn at the southern end and all the way back north)

The Unfathom:

• In the upper of the two lasercrab areas, check the cave straight west of the duo wind-pipes shortcut

"Year of the Crab" Update

Probably the easiest one to approach is right at the entrance of the Sands Between:

	Seven Ocean Army	Complete a Boss Rush and earn a new outfit.

Talk to Topoda, once you've defeated him for the optional "Gravekeeper" boss achievement.
Choose to do one of the "Trials of the Warrior" and successfully complete it.
The early boss gauntlets all require at least one of the 5 optional bosses, so it might take a while to unlock one of these, depending on your playstayle.

-------------------------- New Game Plus --------------------------

	Prepare to Die	Start a playthrough of New Game Plus.

You can start a New Game Plus playthrough from the title screen, once you've beaten the final story boss. This will create a NEW save file for NG+ specifially, and will NOT overwrite the current save.

(Note that you'll have to beat the final boss again, if you had already done so before the update.)

Progress through the early game until you reach the Moon Snail.
Alongside access to the skill tree, you can now also trade 100 Umami Crystals for any 1 out of 5 Sigils, which are simply 5* Stowaways.

Go to the Lower Crust of New Carcinia and increase your Stowaway capacity to 10. If you were at the maximum capacity of 9 before NG+, it's only gonna cost you 40k microplastics to unlock this achievement.

There is a speed nail in front of a waterfall near the diseased lycanthrope. Not sure if time gated. The general direction is if you stand in the arena facing where you would go to continue the level, turn to your left and walk that way. There should be an edge that you can jump up to that leads into a little cave. The waterfall is around there. Just keep an eye out for an npc interact box as it has one of those.

Legendary Sigils are with moon snail, and level stowaway beyond its original maximum is just buy the new slots in lower crust. I am speed is weird, i simply found a snail by the diseased lycanthrope arena, but it may be time gated or something.

@soe - There are no missable achievements. You can revisit all areas at any given time, even after the credits.
There aren't any especially grindy achievements either, so just go into the game completely blind without worries

@EnderGrey14 - I started a new game and rushed to the quickest edge and tried repeatedly falling off. It finally registered for me, but I did have to start a new game. Took me about 15 minutes. The quickest one is after running along those pipes to get to the umami guy
