It will absolutely stay black - it won't change when you get the correct button press. You just need to keep pressing the right order. There's sound on this video so you can hear the exact boxes I also click and you can click along with them.
(Which is strange because I understand higher level physics and similar topics quite easily.)
I love the story in this game, but I wish you could skip the puzzles entirely.
The hints are nice, but they're not enough. I'm still stuck.
Does anyone have a clue how to actually input numbers into that box?
When I try to click on the code thing, it just beeps but stays black, until I get electrocuted.
I REALLY hate this game right now. >_<
In case anyone is wondering about the puzzle box solution in a little more detail for why:
The guard times just read as numbers in order are 7, 1, 4, 8, 2, 6, 1, 7.
The wall numbers are Top Left (TL) 1 5, Top Right (TR) 2 8, Bottom Left (BL) 3 7, and Bottom Right (BR) 4 6.
You're supposed to match the numbers you can match from the guard times with their position on the wall numbers.
7 shows up in 37, so 7 becomes matched with BL.
So 7, 1, 4, 8, 2, 6, 1, 7 becomes BL, TL, BR, TR, TR, BR, TL, BL.
