obs2: running hammer atacks do more damage than normal and are about the same speed. you can also run atack and do a normal 1 atack for good DPS. I rarely use the second normal atack for hammer.
obs3: the buffs is long enough to get hits and get all the umami spent on it leaving room for other adapatations, like bobit and tentacle to stack damage.
Get hammer upgrade first.
With 12 atk on the stats (maybe + 1 or 2 fork upgrades), use hammer and two running attack while buffed to kill , or sneak (walk inside the shell) and do 1 full hammer charged attack. Since it is very close to the moon shell it is safer, you can spam other skills and adapatation.
you can make it work with lower atak as well without problem.
i would recommend going without a scrap hammer. somehow it was easier for me to track them down with ebb and flow this way.
The second (Old Ocean) you don't even have access to until farther in the game.
bibbt drops go from 700 to 900
