The most common method - Boosting for both.
Good morning.

Roadkill Rampage is for running over 100 Players in Halo 2 Anniversary.

Rock and Coil hit back is for killing 100 enemies via environmental kills - which consists of Fusion Coil kills, Ice rock kills, and the occasional weird resolution to a rocket related kill when the game doens't really know whats going on and just throws you a free env. kill.

There are two ways to get this - natural gameplay progression, and boosting with a friend.

The problem with boosting, is that the more people boosting, the harder it is to boost
In order to boost, you set input-based matchmaking and Platform-based matchmaking to ENABLED, and disable the same two regions in your region list as the person helping you boost. (screenshot attached of where to find these settings)

Then, simultaneously queue for 1v1 at the same time.

Once you both end up on the LOCKDOWN map, you need the player who is dying to Jump into the icicle drops so that it counts as environmental and a Splatter. Do this 100 times and you're done with both.

If you're unfamilliar, one player shoots the icles from the top of the map, and they land on the other player to get an environmental kill. If that dying player jumps into the ice as it falls, its an environmental and a splatter.

This is the most common way people get this achievement. Here are the icle placements

Naturally Progressing Roadkill Rampage
To Naturally Progress Roadkill Rampage, it all depends on queue times.

There is a single custom map in the 4v4 h2a playlist for AR slayer and precision slayer that has a ghost for splatters. And two map that is 4v4 that has a warthog, but it has literally no room to drive and it makes it difficult. For this reason, 4v4 queues are basically 1 in 100 for getting a splatter kill. Its rough.

For this reason, big team battle is your best bet, 8v8. But queue times are almost always Dead!

Except on the weekends. This is your key information. Queue for 8v8 btb h2a on the weekends in the morning and afternoon and you should be able to find 3-8 matches in which you can reliably grab ghosts and run people over with them. Occassionally getting warthog splatters as well!

This is how I queue - beware that fiesta makes it a lot harder to get splatters.

I avoid Heavies because vehciles die alot easier in heavies and so far, I'm making considerable progress with these timings and methods. Waiting for the weekend is rough, but do-able.

Top map is stone town.
On bloodline, becareful of hornets wrecking your ghost fr fr.

Naturally Progressing Rock and Coil hit Back!
You can kind of naturally progress this in big team battle in a few spots on Stone town - but its slim pickings. The chaos of 8v8 and snipers and rockets makes it unreliable.

For this reason, 4v4 is your best queue for environmental kills.

Previously, we already covered shooting ice on LOCKDOWN to get kills via boosting. This same method works in non-boosting environments. Just with more difficulty...

You're competing against your teammates and the enemy for this achievement, so it will still be rare to get an icle-based environmental kill. Luckily, there are many spots you can still get them on LOCKDOWN via fusion coils.

1 fusion coil = 3 br shots + coil for a kill
2 fusion coils = 1 or 2 hits + coil for a kill
3 fusion coils = free kill by shooting just the coils.

Most of the 1 coils are nto going to get you many kills, so camping the 3 coils or 2 coils is your best bet. Combine this with icicle kills and over time you will start to wrack these up. Set a goal of 1 environmental kill per match for a realistic expectation and you'll slowly start working your way through this achievement.
TLDR Conclusion
Queue for 8v8 h2a all playlists except maybe snipers and heavies on the weekends for Road Kill Rampage. Prioritize using ghosts.

Queue for 4v4 anything (swat, AR slayer, precision slayer being the best bets) to get Environmental kills on lock out.

Use fusion coils and Ice to get your kills. Swat helps alot because the enemies have no shields** but I haven't had great luck with it and prefer straight up slayer matches.

These methods are working with 2024 queue times right now and have been. 4v4 queue times are usually evenings EST or thursday/friday. And btb is weekends only pretty much.

lastly, You can use the Halo Discord to try to LFG for boosting or parties.

So far, for me, these methods are working. I'm slowly grinding my way through on the weekends - but the boosting method is verified to work as well if that's more your go. I tested it out with my daughter and it definitely works.

Heres good luck to you and good luck to me. we've got this soon.
