Any knowledge on Senran Kagura New Wave (the predecessor to New Link that was also Japan locked and has shut down since around 2016/2017) will help place it in the timeline.

The "branding image" of the guide is a picture of an unfortunate bug in Burst Re:newal, which forces an immediate restart of the level. The image comes form the Hebijo story in Burst Re:newal, where defeating Katsuragi is required to progress. I don't know how, but the AI Katsuragi managed to find a way the other side of an invisible barrier, which ONLY ranged attacks coming from outside can go through.
