games online is broken.
The first thing I did actually do, before doing what I've mentioned, was I uninstalled the "Epic Online Service" or whatever installed with Dead Island 2. I tried to boot it up, and it would auto-quit on me because I didn't have that program installed. So, I re-installed it, then ended up doing the steps I mentioned above - then had no issues getting into Dead Island 2.
If the epic game launcher is already installed on your computer, uninstall it before doing the steps above."
im getting "unable to initialize steamapi" error after i do this, any ideas?
Before launching the game for the first time, go there -> "C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Dead Island 2" and delete the EpicGameLauncher folder. Then open the "DeadIsland.ini" file in notepad and modify the "NoOperation=0" to "NoOperation=1"
If the epic game launcher is already installed on your computer, uninstall it before doing the steps above.
"Thanks for your guide!
When attempting to unlink my account from steam I'm greeted with a "I will not be able to connect my Epic Games Account to another Steam account" statement I need to confirm.
Can you confirm this just means I won't be able to connect a different account? I'll be able to re-link the same account, right?
Yay Epic! So good! So cool!"
