How to make EVG work with OAR while running
🎉 Welcome to the Exciting World of Animation Customization with OAR[www.nexusmods.com]! 🎉

With OAR's in-game menu, which you can bring up with Shift+O, you have the power to fine-tune the conditions for animations to trigger. Ever wondered why your EVG idles don't always run? It could be a mix of factors: The Behavior Engine, your desired conditions (like whether you want a shield or just hands covering the head when it's raining), and even a dash of randomness to keep the animations fresh and unpredictable.

Here's a quick demonstration video of what I did:

Note:
I made a Nexus Mods addon that does this exact thing.

You can use this instead of following the guide, make sure you download the prerequisites
Step by Step
  • 1. Nemesis and Pandora+
Use Nemesis[www.nexusmods.com]. Pandora+[github.com] currently has a known bug which causes inconsistent EVG conditional idles while walking. You may need to adjust your Nemesis processing settings.
  • 2. EVG Animations
Open the animation replacer menu (shift+o) and search for EVG. Expand the collapsible arrow to view all EVG animations. Focus on the player animations as NPC animations seem to work fine. Refer to Screenshot 1 for more details.
  • 3. Mod Priority
Some mods may take priority over EVG. Adding a trailing 0 to the end of the priority should ensure that the animations work while walking/running, but not while sprinting or unsheathed. Refer to Screenshot 2 for more details.
  • 4. Shield Checkbox
I turned off the shield checkbox because rain is enough for me to have her arm up. Save and check in game after walking if it works. Refer to Screenshot 3 for more details.
  • 5. Player Animations
The shield animation is shown in the video, but this can be done with all player animations. The cold one is very immersive in snow environments. Refer to Screenshot 4 for more details.
  • 6. Random Factor (Optional)
Add a random factor by adding a new condition and setting it to random in the drop down. Set the value of the randomness to something like .95.
