Install MSI Afterburner with Rivatuner
If your trying to figure out what a game's rendering API is I'm sure I don't have to lead you through the install of Afterburner.
Download it here from the official MSI site[www.msi.com]
Select the option to install Rivatuner Statistics Server, it enables the overlay.
No need to restart!
How to show rendering API with the On-Screen Display
Go to properties

Then, go to the monitoring tab, scroll down to framerate & frametime (just frametime will do), click the ❝Show in On-Screen Display❞ option for those statistics.

Now if you boot up any full-screen application, it shows the stats in the top-left corner (D3D9, D3D11, OGL, etc).

That's it! 😎
