Intro & Disclaimer
Do you want to make your own personal cool school emblem? Feel the number of icon available for both classes and offices are insufficent? Want to make that management window somewhat more understandable?

Then welcome in this humble guide!

- Disclaimer -

I'm re-using in-game images slightly modified for this guide (I'm lazy and I wanted to do this guide while the caffeine is still working), but I'm pretty sure it should work with any image of the proper size.
For dummies: get to your game folder (duh)
Obviously...

Step 0
(I think I shouldn't bother with this step, but better be safe than have questions later)

Go to Steam's file location:
Step 1: Find the folder
Find the folder you need:

Open LetsSchool_Data

Then StreamingAssets

And Texture

There we are!
You should have 3 folders like this:

Step 2: Images size and colors
So, if you open the foldes, you will find the various icons the game uses.

Now I'll give you a rundown of them.

Class & Manager
The icons in ClassIcon and OrganizationIcon are those icons you use to identify Classes and Manager Offices/Departments.
The usefulness of those icons is for recognizing at glance which is which in game and in the Management Tree.

The images are colorful, have a transparent background, come in .png format and in a 40x40 pixel size.
Like this one:

Emblems
The SchoolIcon folder is divided into two sub-folder: BackGround and Icon. These icons only appear in the School Information menu when you are starting a new school (where you are choosing name and emblem of your school).

The BackGround icons are the Outline images (frame, and crests), while the Icon are the Emblem icons.
They both define your school banner, symbol etc, basically the identity of your school.

These Images also come in .png format and have a transparent background, but they come in a 64x64 size and have a certain color scheme that I'll explain.

Just to be clear, here an example:
Step 3: Class/Manager icon customization
Now, let's make our own icons.

For this type, it's pretty straightfoward: just pick an image that is 40x40 pixel and have a trasparent background.
Now is just about go creative by making/use an icon of your liking.

I took this:

And turned into this:

(a bit ugly, and I forgot about those two damn white pixels, but you get the point)

Then it should appear in the customization menu:

Note: The game will allow any image size, (the red images above are the 64x64 icons) but, as you can see, it will compress it automatically to fit its 40x40 standard size.

That's it!

Step 4: Emblem icons customization
Now, probably the part most of you are more interested.

Now, I just did the inverse with those, turning this:

Into this:

As I have said previously, the Emblem icons follow a color scheme:
(Viva l'Italia :P)

If Steam's compression didn't mauled the image, you can download it to have a reference.
Anyway, Green and Red are the color the game menu will recognize and allow to modify, only those two colors. All other colors are unaffected.

As you can see, Green is the first custom color, while Red is the other.

The same logic go for the Outline.
Note: The third color in the Outline menu is for the background of the whole image and not related to the icons. Just to clarify...

Again, keep the 64x64 size, otherwise the game will automatically change it to fit, as it happened for the unmodified 40x40 image (and you can see it didn't changed the colors).
Conclusion
As you have seen, it's rather easy and quick to add your custom images in-game. It was more trickier find the right folder to do so.

Probably many of you already knew that, but I hope it still help, even a little. Thank you for you attention! Have fun!

Until the game get a proper Workshop support...
