Regarding finding all spirits (hidden achievements):

There is a total of 23 spirit companions (excl. DLC, see noteÂč below)
The cat spirit 'Lenny' is automatically unlocked, others need to be found.

A spirit can only be found once you have its hint in the Spiritdex,
and the hint is received once you reach a certain Spiritographer Rank:
  • Level 3 (unlocks the hints for Earlybirb & Hedgelog)
  • Level 5 (unlocks the hints for Arachknit & Chapterpillar)
  • Level 7 (unlocks the hint for Moonpaw)
  • Level 8 (unlocks the hint for Drizzlefin)
  • Level 9 (unlocks the hint for Trashnuki)
  • Level 10 (unlocks the hint for Kettlebrew)
  • Level 11 (unlocks the hint for Sunquill)
  • Level 12 (unlocks the hint for Bulbee)
  • Level 13 (unlocks the hint for Vootodoo)
  • Level 14 (unlocks the hint for Inkster)
  • Level 15 (unlocks the hint for Bobapole)
  • Level 16 (unlocks the hint for Waxolotl)
  • Level 17 (unlocks the hint for Hamstereo)
  • Level 18 (unlocks the hint for APE-bit)
  • Level 19 (unlocks the hint for Flutterfrog)
  • Level 20 (unlocks the hint for Hexwing)
  • Level 21 (unlocks the hint for Twintail)
Âč Note: +12 new spirit companions with Cozy Kitchen DLC, they have no achievements.

How can the spirit companions be found?

Once you have the hint, finding the spirit companions requires:
  • changing some settings (specific lighting, activities and sounds)
💡 In the image above, I've marked these settings with minty-colored arrows.
Important for the spirit may be just one setting or a combination of settings: the time of day, where you are, what you are doing & what sounds can be heard (music does not count).

🍜 For Cozy Kitchen DLC spirits: some kitchen spirits require you to have another very specific spirit companion nearby, activated through the Wardrobe setting.

  • patience (letting the game run for a while)
💡 When the Spiritdex shows the animation above, that means your settings are correct and all you need to do is wait for the spirit to appear.

  • clicking on the Spiritdex when it shows a red dot (important!)

Hints in the Spiritdex can help you find the hidden spirits.
If the hints don't help, do not worry, I will provide all solutions in a spoiler-friendly format.
To see the solutions, click on the corresponding black box like this one: Great job!

Hi! I love your guide; it is so complete!!! Recently, a friend of mine asked me questions about the game, and I translated this guide for them. We had a blast.
I have a question: Can I create a French guide based on yours, please? Of course, I promise to give you all the credit for the materials!
Dera 13 maj @ 16:19
For Bentobunny it looks like the time now also needs to be morning. If it isn't morning it doesn't show them being lured.

Thank you so much for the guide!

I wanted to share too, that for the Kitchen DLC Bentobunny: I found that lighting should be morning, not evening for it to work! At least that was my experience.
