Download them and convert them to .ico
1.
2.

To add a custom icon (.ico) to a shortcut of a Steam game or mod, you'll need to follow these steps:

Find or Create the Icon:

If you already have an icon (.ico) file you want to use, skip to step 2.
If not, you can create one using various online tools or design software like Adobe Photoshop or GIMP. Make sure the icon is square and preferably in the resolution of 256x256 pixels for better quality.
Convert the Icon to .ico Format (if needed):

If your icon is not in .ico format, you'll need to convert it. There are numerous online converters available for this purpose. Simply search for "convert image to ICO" in your preferred search engine, and you'll find several options.
Place the .ico File in the Correct Location:

Move the .ico file to a location where you can easily access it later, such as your desktop or a dedicated folder.
Create a Shortcut for the Steam Game/Mod:

Open Steam and navigate to the game or mod for which you want to create a shortcut.
Right-click on the game or mod and select "Create desktop shortcut." This will create a shortcut on your desktop.
Access Shortcut Properties:

Right-click on the newly created shortcut and select "Properties" from the context menu.
Change Shortcut Icon:

In the Properties window, go to the "Shortcut" tab.
Click on the "Change Icon" button. If you don't see this button, it means the game or mod does not support changing the icon through the shortcut properties, and you may need to use additional software or methods.
Browse to the location where you saved your .ico file, select it, and click "OK."
Apply Changes:

After selecting the icon, click "Apply" or "OK" to save the changes.
Test the Shortcut:

Double-click the shortcut to ensure that it opens the game or mod correctly with the custom icon.
