General Tips
In order to climb higher and higher to try to get over $1,000,000 in Buckshot Roulette's Double or Nothing mode, here are a few short tips I have learnt and used to my highest current climb of 497k:

- Every round start after you confirm that you want to continue playing Double or Nothing, try your best to end the round IMMEDIATELY. I cannot stress this enough.

Every time you start a new Round 1, you and the Dealer keep your items from the previous Round 3. I have also noticed every new Round 1 is a two-shot dead round. If you happen to get lucky, you will not have any issues. However, if you are very unlucky and the Dealer happens to have very good items (handsaw, inverter, cuffs) then you are royally ♥♥♥♥♥♥. You will lose and not be a happy camper. Try to end the round as quickly as you can so both of your items reset (I got unlucky and lost my 497k this way). In the new patch update, this has been updated so that neither of you can get a handsaw on the first of a new round if it is a 2HP round. Still be careful though as you both still keep your items, and especially be careful if a handsaw is the item being carried over from Round 3 to the new Round 1.

- Using your items and/or stealing the Dealer's, especially if the Dealer has adrenaline.

This is situational depending on how your run is going and how that current round is going. I tend to use up all my items if I feel like they'll become a detriment to me if I leave them on the table, same goes for the Dealer. If I have adrenaline, I will use it to steal the Dealer's items. If the Dealer has adrenaline, I will use up my items if I feel like he will use them for his benefit. Cigarettes? Use them even if I'm full. He has cuffs and I don't? Use adrenaline to steal his so I can get an extra turn. I have a handsaw and I'm on 2HP? Use it anyway even if the bullet in the gun is blank. Again this is all situational but it's something I keep in the back of my mind when I play.

- If you're in a 50/50, you're better off taking the risk of shooting the Dealer than shooting yourself.

It's not worth the risk of losing a bar of health. Shoot the Dealer instead, it's much safer.

- Strategize and think out every possible way each of your turns will end.

When playing, I tend do go in the order of these items (if I am lucky to obtain them that round): burner phone > beer > magnifying glass > handcuffs > anything else. However this needs to be judged in a round-by-round basis as some rounds you will not need to play as safely e.g. in rounds where you are sure you can win a 50/50 or in rounds where you can take a risk if the Dealer is on one bar of health.

- Always try to have the Dealer in cuffs if available.

Even if you have to steal the Dealer's cuffs using adrenaline, it's much safer to win a round if the Dealer gets one less turn. Even better if you use blanks to prolong your turn. Once the Dealer gets his turn, everything is out of your control. You have a better chance of winning risky moved if he's in cuffs and is a lot easier to finish a round if you do this.

- Try to end your first round before Double or Nothing activates for that little bit of extra money.

I've noticed while playing that your DoN money can range from as low as 10k to as high as 50k. While in the regular game mode it seems that your 70k is deducted from how much beer/cigarettes you use I'm not 100% whether or not it's the same in DoN. It has been confirmed via data mining that the amount of money you have when you finish your Round 3 is determined by how long it takes for you to get from Round 1 to the DoN screen, so end as fast as you can. If it's safe to do so, try to end it as fast as you can so that you can get the ceiling amount of money. If you end up with 10-20k, you're better off resetting because you'll end up having to play more rounds to double your money to get yourself to 1M, which just makes you at risk of losing all of your money the longer you play. Ideally if you get 40k you'll only end up playing six rounds (40k > 80k > 160k > 320k > 640k > 1.2mil) while if you get 10k you'll end up playing seven or eight or more depending on how little you start with.

- Sometimes, you have to take the L.

Even if you play your round flawlessly, sometimes RNG just ♥♥♥♥♥ you. Take the loss and reset when you 1000% know that you've lost. Take a break and come back.
Updates
This is my first guide, so I hope this may help some.

I am still trying to get the achievement myself, so if I happen to discover/think of anything else that may be useful for winning $1,000,000 I'll update this guide. This is basically all of the things I do to try to climb high, and I no longer get stuck on the first or second rounds of Double or Nothing unless I get extremely unlucky.

Thanks for reading. :)

The worst thing is that you have to do this twice.

It happens, I die on the first round of the first set occasionally. Got good luck with the dealer taking a lot of expired medicine and losing some health. Had to hope in some blind choices but I'm glad it's over. At least for now, I believe you will make it. Just don't lose hope. I know what it is like to win the 17 rounds just to fuck it up on the 18th/last round either through RNG or bad choices, and it wasn't the first time I dropped the ball on the last round either.

If you don't want to burn yourself out, just play a round once a day, maybe two if you lose very early on.

UPDATE: I was close to getting another million to complete the 'Know when to quit' achievement but lost after winning 15 rounds. Past few games I've barely gotten a good run past 2 sets. Still trying, just giving it a run usually about 1 time per day to prevent burnout.

My best bit of advice...even though it is not necessarily wise. Is if you are on one last bit of health, and you can not possibly kill the dealer before your round ends either through lack of handsaw, or he has 3 points of health, or there is more than 1 live round in the shotgun, gamble the expired medicine. You may not be guaranteed to survive it and it may end your game outright, but it did save me for my 1 million dollar run.

And trust me, that expired medicine has killed more runs for me than making them, but all you need is to get a million dollars once. Feel free to ignore or take this advice to your own discretion. Good luck to everyone!
