BEER

"RACKS THE SHOTGUN. EJECTS CURRENT SHELL."

  • Simply discard the current shell, You can look at what round gets ejected the same way as when you shoot.
  • Shell ejects this way not cost a turn.
  • You can eject the last shell in this version. (you can't when this game first released in itch.io)
  • You do not get drunk. somehow.

  • Beer can make difference chance between Live and Blank more significant (or worse, equal), by burn through the tube until there's one type of round, but the best way to use is to not left any shell for Dealer, give 1 round left to dealer can be lethal to you if Dealer have inverter item
CIGARETTE PACK

"TAKE THE EDGE OFF. REGAIN 1 CHARGE."

  • You gain 1 Charge(Your HP but cooler), that's simple
  • You can't overheal yourself in any mode, You stuck with the maximum amount of charge in every giving round (2/4/6 in normal game/ 2-4 in double or nothing)
  • You sure take your edge off. I don't know what the fxxk that means

  • Dealer rarely keep cigarette pack and mostly use it when ever it taking damage
HANDCUFFS

"DEALER SKIPS THE NEXT TURN."

  • Turn skips by shooting blank to yourself not count toward handcuffs's usage
  • There are animation sequences when handcuffs usage has been use(skip turn) and when it out of usage for both side
HAND SAW

"SHOTGUN DEALS 2 DAMAGE."

  • The effect lasts only 1 shot, No matter which shell comes out or which side you shoot.
  • After the shot, It back to 1 damage, queue by the sawed part magically comes back.
  • Never spawn in the round that start with 2 charge [DoN mode]
  • No, You can't do quad damage or triple damage with this.
  • It's not making sense in gun logic too.

  • Most of the time Dealer, Will use this if it know the next round is Live round (by glasses or phone), but sometime if it can't get information at all, Dealer will risk use it when chance of live round is more than or equal 50% (at coin flip chance like 1 blank 1 live)
  • Dealer never shot itself after saw the part off, but if you shot live round at yourself with sawed-off, you get an achievement.
MAGNIFYING GLASS

"CHECK THE CURRENT ROUND IN THE CHAMBER."

  • Simply put: Check that what you going to shoot next is Live or Blank.
  • That's not how you use a glass.

  • Like you, Dealer react to information based on what type of round (*common sense apply here*) but if you check for live round and shot yourself with it, You get an achievement.
  • Dealer will try to use this as much as possible if there's mixed shells in the tube, Sometimes Dealer's AI uses 2 magnifying glasses just to check the same shell. (not sure if this bug or intended)
ADRENALINE [Double or Nothing mode]

"STEAL AN ITEM AND USE IT IMMEDIATELY."

  • After the animation, You can freely choose one item from your opponent. then use it
  • If you pick cigarette pack at full charge, you still use it but not gain any charge. just prevent opponent to use it themselves.
  • Game not allows you to steal opponent's adrenaline.
  • If you somehow not choose anything in 5 seconds, the effect wears off, and you get nothing, queue by the fading brightness after the animation.

  • Dealer won't hesitate to pick an Item like you.
BURNER PHONE [Double or Nothing mode]

"A MYSTERIOUS VOICE GIVES YOU INSIGHT FROM THE FUTURE."

  • Voice will always tell the truth about the position of the shell followed by a type of round. Example :
    ' SECOND SHELL. . . . . . . LIVE ROUND. '
  • The order number is counted from the remaining shells from the tube at the moment you use NOT from the start of loading shell.
  • You can use more than one burner phone in a turn and get different or the same shell information.
  • Voice never tells you the current round in the chamber.
  • If you use the phone with only one shell in the tube, The voice will mock you for having such a bad memory. the quote is : (actually I'm not sure, I also have bad memory, I'll fix later)
    ' HOW. . UNFORTUNATES . . . . '

  • Dealer can use and do anything based on information like when he use magnifying glass. Unfortunately there's no way to know what it know. Try not to give it a turn less than 3 shells with only 1 live round or worse case: 1 live and 1 blank.
EXPIRED MEDICINE [Double or Nothing mode]

"50% CHANCE TO REGAIN 2 CHARGES. IF NOT, LOSE 1 CHARGE"

  • Basically like the item description said, cigarettes but actually contain cancer, Potentially kill you if you have 1 charge and lose against the odds.
  • Like cigarette packs, You can't over-heal with this
  • It was at 60/40 chances on healing or lose charge (1.2.0 STEAM)
  • Animation when getting the result is the same for the player just with music pause and camera tilt but for the Dealer is the most funniest thing in-game

  • I never see Dealer use expired medicine when at 1 charge
INVERTER [Double or Nothing mode]


SWAP THE POLARITY OF THE CURRENT SHELL IN THE CHAMBER.

  • In other word: swap Blank shell to Live shell and vice versa
  • Just for current shell NOT the whole magazine tube

  • You can use it to get yourself out of trading damage (by turning Live round to Blank round when there are only 2 Live shells left then shooting yourself to skip Dealer's turn) or deal even more damage with only a Blank Shell left (turning it to Live Round)
  • If Dealer have information about blank round and have inverter (or can steal it from you), He'll use it. Even uglier if he also have hand saw. Consider steal one of these item to prevent that.
Trivia thing that's not relate to any specific items
  • In All or Nothing mode, Item that left over from phase 3 of each loop not clear out before start of new phase 1
  • Dealer might shot itself from time to time due to it RNG based decision (sometime coin flip in normal game, or actual possibility based in AoN mode) but it always knows what the last shell is, just not bring it to consideration until the very last moment (It never forget likes you)
  • The term 'trading damage' I used, reference to situation that you exactly know your opponent will shot you back with live round(s) immediately if you damage them now and pass turn to them with shell left, can prevent that or not

Not related to the actual guide, but the phrase attached to the Cigarettes item- "Takes the edge off"- is an English expression/idiom. Merriam-Webster's definition of it is "to make (something) weaker or less severe", which in this case, refers to reducing the pain of having gotten shot.
