Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII - SteamDeck Controller Setup

Blazing Angels 2 works from the get-go on the Deck, but you still need to set up the controller layout. Here is how I set up mine.

Controller setup

Before we actually start the game on the Deck, open the Controller Settings of the game and select the Template "Gamepad with Mouse Trackpad".

Now start the game and open "Game Controls" and switch the 'Flight Model' to 'Simulator' to get the most out of the controls:

Now we can Define the Controls Map at the bottom of this settings page.

Here is the layout of the Steam Deck (without the grip buttons on the back, I always disable these in games usually):



Since the game came out when (most) developers did not implement the icons for XBox (and PS) controllers, the names for all buttons will appear like for any third-party controller. So here is what button on the (Steam Deck) controller means what:

Before you start blasting Nazi planes though, don't forget to set "Disable Alternate keys" at the bottom of the Game Control settings page!

Got no friends close by to play with? Then I advice to NOT assign "Team Chat" (L3 press) and "General Chat" (R3 press), since you won't need them anyway (yeah, online only works with LAN).
