Phreaks Phreaking guide to the orange box

A specialised guide for the audio impaired to solve the audio puzzle that is given by Phreak.

So I've made this guide to help hearing impaired people solve Phreaks puzzles with the orange box.

You will need a smart phone and access to a spectrum analyser, I used SpectrumView but there are many available.

In a quiet room turn down the game music volume but leave the effects high so you get a clear signature.

Correlate the 'in game' phone buttons with a unique signature given by the spectrum analyser, take a picture so you have a template of each button spectra and assign the list number 2,3,4,5,6,7 or description 'red rathound' etc, whatever works for you.

Now you're ready for the puzzle, use the analyser to screenshot each segment of the puzzle and compare it against your previously prepared template and eureka you can now punch in a code and solve the puzzles.

You may notice Styg's bastardy of overlapping some of the frequencies so the tones sound similar.... have a smug laugh that you've hacked Styg's hacking puzzle.

You really reinvented the wheel here. It's a glorified game of Simon. Write down numbers for each of the six tones, write down which tone plays as you listen, then enter it in-game. The only thing you have to do is figure out which of the six sounds are assigned to what button.
