Steam Deck Online play + Resolution fix

Native Resolution and Working Online MP

Starting out

Make sure you have CnC Generals Zero Hour downloaded and it has been started up at least once.

Head into Desktop mode.

Then go to https://cnc-online.net/en/connect/register/ and create an account, remember the details you will need them later.

And finally go to https://www.gentool.net/ chose the GenTool .Zip option and download it.

Installing GenTool

Open the directory to where you downloaded GenTool_v8.8.zip, extract it somewhere easy to find, "extract here" will work fine.

Right click the d3d8.dll and select "Cut" then go back to Steam, right click Zero Hour > Manage > Browse game files.

in the new window that has opened, right click a blank area and select > Paste one file, choose "overwrite" if prompted.

next close all windows apart from Steam, right click Zero Hour again and select > Properties, In the Launch options paste the following

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3d8.dll=n,b" %command%

and that's it, now start up Generals and you will have the correct resolutions available in Options and if you select online play login with the account you registered previously, you can pick a nick name and your age is required.
