I saw that there were no guides for the achievements in this game - so I thought I would give it a try! Most of the achievements for this game are very straightforward and require no further details, but nevertheless, it is always good to have a composed list of easy scenarios to complete some of the tedious ones!

Introduction
Townsmen - A Kingdom Rebuilt is a casual town-building game with a strategic aspect to it.
The process of 100%'ing this game will require some time and dedication - not because of difficult achievements, but as to the amount of sheer gameplay that is necessary to unlock certain story-progressed achievements.

There are 102 achievements that this guide cover, that includes both base game and DLC.

I have only added insightful comments to achievements that are not so straight-forward as the rest. These specified achievements may require some strategic advances - or some RNG.

If you at some time have trouble with achievements popping in the steam client - save the scenario/playthrough and completely close down Townsmen, restart via the steam client and they should pop as soon as you continue playing the previously saved scenario.

Tutorial (7 Achievements)
The achievements in this section is rewarded upon completing the corresponding tutorial scenario.
  • A new beginning - Complete the first chapter of the tutorial campaign.
  • Friends from the past - Complete the second chapter of the tutorial campaign.
  • Time for some trade - Complete the third chapter of the tutorial campaign.
  • Knee deep in snow - Complete the fourth chapter of the tutorial campaign.
  • Conflicting parties - Complete the fifth chapter of the tutorial campaign.
  • Out of the frying pan - Complete the sixth chapter of the tutorial campaign.

  • Become a governor - Complete all missions of the tutorial campaign.
Scenarios - Base game (28 Achievements)
The achievements in this section is rewarded upon completing the corresponding scenario in the base game.

Uncommon achievements:
  • I've been everywhere I (1) - Finish the scenario "Tournament"
  • I've been everywhere II (2) - Finish the scenario "Late Fall"
  • I've been everywhere III (3) - Finish the scenario "Economic crisis"
  • I've been everywhere IV (4) - Finish the scenario "Drought"
  • I've been everywhere V (5) - Finish the scenario "Trading post"
  • I've been everywhere VI (6) - Finish the scenario "Wedding"
  • I've been everywhere VII (7) - Finish the scenario "Cathedral"
  • I've been everywhere VIII (8) - Finish the scenario "A harsh winter"

  • Penny pincher - Finish the scenario "Moneybags"

  • Buried - Finish the scenario "Avalanche risk"
    • Good luck, miner! - Do not lose any mines in the scenario "Avalanche risk"
        • Avalanches can occur naturally, mining increases the risk. Failing bandit demands will also cause avalanches.
        • Build Marketplace and Carpenter's shop immediately using resources/crowns.
        • Remove workers from every mine.
        • Buy necessary stone/iron/gold from merchant.
        • Build Hunters cabin, Pig farm and Butcher's workshop for meat to sell.
        • Repair mines as needed.
        • Purchase items for bandit requests at the merchant.

  • Craftsmen challenge - Finish the scenario "Craftsmen challenge"
  • Impregnable - Finish the scenario "Under siege"

  • Governor-elect - Finish the scenario "Election day"
    • Now everyone is satisfied - Convince all factions in the scenario "Election day"
        • Replay "Election day" three separate times and side with different factions each playthrough.

  • Little place in the country - Finish the scenario "Farmland"
  • Brew master - Finish the scenario "The perfect brew"
  • It went unnoticed - Finish the scenario "Behind the blinders"
  • Panacea - Finish the scenario "The King's disease"
  • War-zone - Finish the scenario "War-ridden"
  • Waterways - Finish the scenario "Waterways"
  • Tired by festival - Finish the scenario "A year of festivities"
  • Malediction - Finish the scenario "The curse"
Scenarios - DLC "The Seaside Empire" (6 Achievements)
The achievements in this section is rewarded upon completing the corresponding scenario in the DLC "The Seaside Empire".
  • Reunification - Finish the scenario "A tale of two clans"
  • Made my choice - Finish the scenario "Insane Choices"
  • Negotiator - Finish the scenario "Diplomatic Visit"
  • An honorable departure - Finish the scenario "The legacy"
  • Chief Inspector - Finish the scenario "The Beast"
  • LEGEN... wait for it... DARY - Finish the scenario "The Legendary Tasks"
Player-related (18 Achievements)
This section covers achievements that the player has to perform during the game.

Quest achievements - Both quests during and after scenarios count towards completion.
  • Completionist I (1) - Complete 50 quests
  • Completionist II (2) - Complete 150 quests
  • Completionist III (3) - Complete 250 quests

  • An honorable Governor I (1) - Earn 250 prestige via quests
  • An honorable Governor II (2) - Earn 750 prestige via quests
  • An honorable Governor III (3) - Earn 2500 prestige via quests
Research achievements - Manually research when new options become available, this is essentially a leveling-dependent achievement. The achievement will pop at around level 28 if all previous researches has been completed.
  • Eureka! - Complete 1 research
  • Researcher - Complete 5 researches
  • Genius - Complete 40 researches
Repair achievements - Manually repaired building via the building menu.
*I am uncertain if Carpenter's shop count towards completion.*
  • Full-time job I (1) - Repair 50 buildings
  • Full-time job II (2) - Repair 150 buildings
  • Full-time job III (3) - Repair 500 buildings
Time achievements - Only time inside scenarios or endless mode counts towards completion.
  • A time consuming game I (1) - Play for 60 minutes
  • A time consuming game II (2) - Play for 120 minutes
  • A time consuming game III (3) - Play for 300 minutes
  • A time consuming game IV (4) - Play for 500 minutes
  • A time consuming game V (5) - Play for 1000 minutes
Trade achievements
  • Not a small trader anymore - Set up 4 trade orders in the Trade guild simultaneously
Build-related (11 Achievements)
This section covers achievements that the player has to build during the game.

These achievements can be scummed by building 50+ Large city houses after a scenario has ended. The townie happiness does not matter for the achievement completion.
I completed them after "A girl's desires" by using this technique.

Any building type
  • I like to build stuff... I (1) - Build 10 buildings in the same town
  • I like to build stuff... II (2) - Build 25 buildings in the same town
  • I like to build stuff... III (3) - Build 50 buildings in the same town
  • I like to build stuff... IV (4) - Build 75 buildings in the same town
  • I like to build stuff... V (5) - Build 100 buildings in the same town
Townie housing
  • Builder I (1) - Reach a population of 50 in the same town
  • Builder II (2) - Reach a population of 100 in the same town
  • Builder III (3) - Reach a population of 200 in the same town
  • Builder IV (4) - Reach a population of 300 in the same town
  • Builder V (5) - Reach a population of 500 in the same town
Decorations
  • Experienced decorator - Build decorations from 8 different decoration categories
In-game events (17 Achievements)
This section covers in-game event related achievements that will be unlocked during the game.

Military
  • Another one bites the dust - Defeat 50 bandits
  • The Art of War - Defeat 100 bandits

  • Last man standing - Defeat 4 bandits with a single soldier in a fight
1 Soldier has to solo a bandit outpost.

This can be farmed as some RNG is required by save/loading before sending the soldier to the bandit hideout. Make sure the Guard post/tower is fully stocked with Sausage, Brew, Weapons and Armors for the highest possible chance.
  • You shall not pass - Don't let any bandits successfully raid the town in a full scenario.
This has to be completed during a scenario, no bandit attacks can be successful, i.e your soldiers have to win every fight.

Playing through the scenario as fast as possible and focusing on Barracks + Guard Tower is a viable strategy. Unfortunately, this is also a RNG achievement so save often and reload if there is a successful bandit attack.
  • To serve and protect - Have full guard coverage in a town with a populations of 100.

Building fires
  • Just let it burn! - Lose 100 buildings to fire
Accumulative during several scenarios/playthroughs.

This can be farmed after the completion of a scenario by letting all of your buildings decay by not repairing them, remove the Carpenter's shop and Firewatch post/tower and watch your lifework burn mwahahaha.
  • When there's fire... - Extinguish 100 burning buildings with the Firewatch post/tower
  • We can rebuild it! - Lose all burnable buildings to fire
Must be completed in the same scenario/playthrough

This can be completed during the "Just let it burn!" achievement. Buildings can also be demolished to speed up the process, but the last building in the town has to be destroyed by fire.
  • Saint Florian - Do not lose a single building to fire in a full scenario

Plagues
  • Plague strikes! - Cure 100 Townies from the plague
  • Cosmas and Damian - In a scenario, do not lose a single Townie to the plague

Taxes
  • Tax-man I (1) - Collect 1000 thaler in taxes
  • Tax-man II (2) - Collect 10 000 thaler in taxes
  • Tax-man III (3) - Collect 50 000 thaler in taxes
  • Tax-man IV (4) - Collect 100 000 thaler in taxes
  • Tax-man V (2) - Collect 1 000 000 thaler in taxes

Disasters
  • Survivalist - Survive 4 different disasters in one town

    This is easiest completed on endless "The Icy Hold" with bandit attacks and disasters selected. This map can generate more than four different disasters - it is just a matter of time.

    Listed disasters in the game:

      • Plague
      • Avalanches
      • Drought

      • Wild animal sickness
      • Blizzard
      • Large scale bandit attack

Produce-related (15 Achievements)
This section covers achievements that the production-type buildings will perform during the game.
These achievements does not accumulate, they need to be performed in the same scenario/playthrough. Produces after scenario completion still counts towards completion.

Build the required buildings and just let them do their thing.

Bread Production
  • Bread for the people I (1) - Produce 200 bread in one town.
  • Bread for the people II (2) - Produce 500 bread in one town.
  • Bread for the people III (3) - Produce 1000 bread in one town.
Tool Production
  • Tools of the trade I (1) - Produce 200 tools in one town.
  • Tools of the trade II (2) - Produce 500 tools in one town.
  • Tools of the trade III (3) - Produce 1000 tools in one town.
Clothes Production
  • The King's new clothes I (1) - Produce 200 clothes in one town.
  • The King's new clothes II (2) - Produce 500 clothes in one town.
  • The King's new clothes III (3) - Produce 1000 clothes in one town.
Jewelry Production
  • My precious... I (1) - Produce 200 jewelry in one town.
  • My precious... II (2) - Produce 500 jewelry in one town.
  • My precious... III (3) - Produce 1000 jewelry in one town.
Brew Production
  • Five brews are a schnitzel - Produce 1000 brew in one town.
Sausage Production
  • Only the sausage has two ends - Produce 1000 sausage in one town.
Weapons and Armor Production
  • Lord of war - Produce 250 weapons and armor in one town.
Conclusion
Most of the achievements in Townsmen - A kingdom Rebuilt are very straight forward - but the actual 100% completion is actually a tedious process as completing all of the scenarios once, and more than once for some of them, is very time consuming.

Some of these achievements has a specific strategy to them, whilst most will be unlocked via a somewhat strategic gameplay and a bit of luck!
