[INFORMATION]

This guide assumes that you know how to install Satsuma parts, such as:
the NOS or Racing carburetor. It focuses solely on the tuning aspect.
Tuning
So, looks like you want to squeez more power out of your rusty Satsuma, follow me:
  • Get your wallet ready!
  • Make sure your Satsuma is running properly and doesn't have very worn out parts.
1. Order these parts from the parts catalog in you garage:

  • You may also want to order wheels, so you don't have to change the tires every time you're doing the rally, drag race or just driving around.
2. Now drive to Teimo's shop and drop your order into the mail box.

3. Install your ordered parts.
  • Turn on your Satsuma and warm it up a little, don't overheat it. You'll need to tune it a little.

  • Don't pull the choke, it must be all the way down.
  • Now let's adjust the racing carburator. You're AFR probably looks something like this:

What you want to do is grab a screw driver and with your mouse scroll all 4 screws up, each for about 1 minute.

  • And now you'll have to scroll the screws down EQUALLY until AFR is bouncing from 12.4 to 13.1.
4. Adjust the rockers for best performance:
  • Turn off the Satsuma.
  • Remove the rocker cover - 6x7mm

  • Take a screwdriver and adjust all 8 of the rocker screws, scroll them all the way down, then scroll them 7 clicks up.

  • Put back the rocker cover.

5. Take your Satsuma to Fleetaris and buy this:
  • Note that Fleetari works from Monday-Friday, opens at 08:00 (8am), closes at 16:00 (4pm). Don't take your Satsuma to Fleetaris on a Friday, you'll have to wait till Monday to get the repairs done.
  • Drag Race:
    • Final gear ratio - 4.625
    • Sutasiko slick tires
  • Rally:
    • Final gear ratio - 4.625
    • EURopeiska rally tires
  • Highway:
    • Final gear ratio - 3.700
    • Gommer Gobra road tires or (Sutasiko slick tires (for 200km/h))

  • Put your wheels you purchased or took off the Satsuma here when purchasing tires.

  • Remember, lower gear ratio = higher top speed, but slower acceleration, higher gear ratio = lower top speed, but faster acceleration.
6. Leave your car at Fleetaris.

7. When he calls you and says the Satsuma is done, go to Fleetaris again.
  • If you missed the call or can't wait for Fleetari to call, and want to find out if he, for example, changed your gear ratio or not. Check Fleetaris table, if the service brochure is on the table, he has finished the work, if it's not there, the work is still in progress.

8. Warm up the Satsuma to normal temperature. Set NOS to half pressure, then turn it on.

You'll start hearing a ringing noise coming from the engine, that's the distributor. Open the hood, take a screwdriver and adjust the distributor.
  • Unscrew the distributor slightly, not all the way (2 clicks with your mouse wheel).

  • Now with your hand turn the distributor upwards with your mouse wheel right until it stops making the ringing noise (if you scroll downwards 1 click it starts making the noise again), then tighten the distributor with the screwdriver.

Turn off the NOS.

DYNO results:
  • Make sure you've topped off all the fluids before exhausting the car.
1. Distributor adjusted for NOS, NOS turned off.

2. Distributor adjusted for NOS, NOS turned on (turned on at 4,500rpm).

3. Distributor adjusted for regular drive, no NOS.

If you want to mess around with the NOS pressure, AFR, distributor yourself on the dyno:
Go to the front desk and buy dyno time.

Drive your Satsuma on to the dyno and put it in 4th gear.

Roll down your window, press Q to lean towards the dynamometer and start it, accelerate till 8,000rpm, then press down S until you've reached 0km/h on your speedometer.

  • Make sure that you don't lose NOS pressure.
  • Remember to refill your NOS, if you've used it a lot.
  • Before untying the Satsuma from the dyno, make sure the wheels have stopped spinning, so it doesn't run off the dyno.

i dont think you really need 200hp ive seen people win with an almost stock satsuma and also a lot of power can make you spinout more easily but good tutorial!

question: why do you need to buy the tachometer from the catalog? is the one that you find at the dirt track not accurate enough? or is it just for the shift light?

this is a neat guide, but the info of the gear ratio is backwards. lower gear ratio(higher number) is faster accel/ lower top. higher gear(lower number) is slower accel/ higher top
