Running Simutrans Extended in steam (windows or linux).

Simutrans extended is by far for me the best way to play simutrans. It really maximises all the reasons why simutrans is above other transport/logistics sims, like TTD and even up there with modern behemoths like Workers & Resourses Soviet Republic.
However, it didn't work out of the box in steam for me.

So, just a quick guide to how I run Simutrans Extended in steam if the standard way doesn't work.
Download the zip for windows 64 from the forums: https://forum.simutrans.com/index.php?topic=16703.0
This zip contains both the windows and linux executables, and paksets. (at time of writing this)
Unzip it somewhere.
locate either "Simutrans-Extended.exe" (windows) or "simutrans-extended" (linux) in this folder, the complete path to this file is needed.

in the launch options for simutrans in steam put: "replace this with path to executable in quotes" %command%

...And this is what worked for me.
