Quick Tips on Inexpensive Gun Training
By Maria
Yakuza 5 features a weapon skill leveling up system for every individual character, for which levels aren't shared. So yeah! its alot of work. Thankfully it's not required for any achievement or any of the sort, but here are two tips for training the skill for guns without all the expensive reloads they take to use frequently so you can make use of better guns.

Method 1: Melee (All Characters, except Haruka, of course.)
All guns happen to have infinite durability, used for weak attacks to smack enemies with. This lets you however grind out to the max level without a SINGLE repair, which definitely saves you tens of thousands of yen.

Fights however take a little long, and it doesn't have much of a area of effect thing going on. If you find it too irritating fighting through 5 or 6 enemies with weak gun smacks, for every encounter you could regularly battle them until theres 1 or 2 left, by which you can much more safely assault them with gun wacks for that EXP.
Method 2: Suicidal Shooting (Akiyama Only)
Luckily for our boy Akiyama, he has a way of levelling up his gun skills at no cost while having access to actual shooting.

Akiyama's Master, Saigo, can be found in the park right near Dyna Chair (Which is also around where you find him initially if you havent unlocked him yet.)

He will offer 3 and eventually 6 trainings, and the one you need is immediantly available, Suicidal Shooting, where you shoot through his croonies until you reach saigo himself and shoot him until he dies :))

Feel free to use bullets because this both stunlocks enemies, and youre given INFINITE AMMO.
And yes, you can replay this training as much as you want. Just keep a eye on what enemies and especially saigo are doing so you dont lose too much health. Saigo can be stun locked again and again if you start shooting at a point where he doesnt draw his machine gun.
