What is "Black Sheep"

Black Sheep was a mission for the GLA campaign that was cut before the release of the game, most likely because the mission consists of killing a bunch of innocent people with toxins. It was to be the third mission, and serve as an introduction to the toxin tractor.

In 2009, to celebrate the then-sixth anniversary of C&C Generals, EA released the mission for free download.

Ursprünglich geschrieben von EA:
In celebration of the sixth anniversary of the award-winning real-time strategy classic Command & Conquer Generals, we are releasing an exclusive gift to Command & Conquer fans — the lost mission of Command & Conquer Generals. The never-before-seen and controversial Global Liberation Army mission was not included in the game’s original 2003 release and has been hidden and securely stored away in a secret location at our EA Los Angeles development studio until today. Command & Conquer, download the mission Black Sheep for free and unleash their inner General.

Black Sheep was originally slated to be the third mission in the Global Liberation Army campaign where players were given command of the Toxin Tractor, a slow-going farm vehicle modified to spray a deadly corrosive agent, and ordered to eliminate the town that had been corrupted beyond salvation by the USA’s propaganda. While the mission was ultimately removed from Generals, the Toxin Tractor was available in other campaign missions, as well as in multiplayer and skirmish modes.
How to access

Go on ModDB ( https://www.moddb.com/games/cc-generals/addons/generals-black-sheep-the-lost-mission ) and download the file.

Unzip it, and paste the folder to your Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data\Maps folder.

You can access it in-game through Skirmish.

Have fun using Zero Hour's exclusive content that wasn't available in this mission originally!

you look at the actions of gla throughout the whole game and the reason that you think black sheep was removed is them killing civs ? seriously

Were or when can I get Command and Conquer Generals 2???? There was a beta test/reviews and then shelved from what 2005 Game Informer reported. Sounded like the developer was lil upset it wasn't well reviewed and EA or whomever just shelved it. What is up with that? Also seems like Sports Games also shifted attention away from acquired IPs from Westwood of which I think are severely underused these days when most gamers want the old style games back like StarCraft or WarCraft. Seems like free cash just waiting. Just please no co commanders and make it right. Realistic and not Red Alert 3 softened up for kids. Kids aint playing but my 30 year ol azz is lol. Also leave out our own worlds B S and stick with the C&C Generals Universe. Thanks and have a good life hope to see some traction :-/

@kmscava I'm a bit late with this so you probably already figured it out, but either way; To make this clear first just in case, the Maps folder should be in the documents folder, not the game files.

If for some reason your documents folder does not have a Maps folder within it—which it should—then yes, just create one. After that just switch to the unofficial maps tab in skirmish and it should appear there. Any maps you add to this folder will be available in skirmish, even campaign missions, if you put them in this folder.

There is no "Maps" folder in the game files for the Steam version. Does this mean that you have to create a Maps folder within the data folder? The instructions from the mod page are from 17 years ago.

I once started a playthrough on the GLA Missions.. and will not do so again. I do not like killing innocents, just to have something to state to others. I don't mind playing GLA during skirmish, but won't do any of the missions.
