Well... This may sound silly, but Crudelis is our first game and we weren't aware of the engine limitations. When we reached them, it was too late to change - we didn't want to follow the Duke Nukem Forever's path. So we decided to do a lot of modifications and keep the progress instead of starting again from scratch. But as you can see from the latest screenshots (from the 'New Website' update, for example), we do our best to give the game as much detailed look as possible. I hope that the gameplay will be good enough to forget for one hour about everything else :)
Yes, it is. But Crudelis features handcrafted maps (no generators at all!), heavily modified engine, big attention to details and a very complex world - as we promised, your every decision affects the gameplay. Even if it's as simple as not talking to someone, the world around you will react accordingly to your choice. We hope to give every player a unique, emotional story - and we put three years of work into this one hour journey to fulfill our promise.
Thanks for your kind comment. I don't want to make a false marketing here - we are very small team and we do our best to bring you as much freedom (in terms of plot choices) as possible. We don't want to implement fixed story, in which you cannot decide on your own. We want to give you possibility to swap from one story line to another if you find it more interesting. All of them will be "main story lines", not just side quests. They will have common heroes, but completely separate situations, choices and endings. But you will have to decide which one to follow, because you won't be able to discover all of them in single run.
