Spoiler-free guide to unlock all the seeds and workstations in Snacko and where to find resources and materials.

Meowllo! enralis here. Decided that there probably needs to be a wee guide on where and when you can unlock certain items with the new quest system.

I'll slowly update this guide over time to include anything new, including adding things Speed Grow and furniture sets in the future.

• Unlocks ability to buy Daikon from any Grocer

Myst Flower

Real Myst-ery

• Requires having an Alchemist on your island and completing Intro to the Alchemist's Guild
  
• Requires completing Fixing it Up!
  
• Complete Real Myst-ery to receive seeds
  
• Requires harvesting Myst Flowers and crafting Myst Crystals from them to unlock them in any Alchemist's store

Spinach

Negotiation Tactics II

• Requires having Iva on your Island and completing Negotiation Tactics I
  
• Requires placing fences, a Bamboo Plant, and decorations around Iva's house in town
  
• Unlocks ability to buy Spinach Seeds at any grocer's on completion

Restore the Mushroom Forest Obelisk

• Unlocks ability to buy Spinach from any Grocer

Cabbage

Rustic Research II

• Requires having Mack on your Island and completing Rustic Research II
  
• Requires placing seating and Barrels around Mack's house in town
  
• Unlocks ability to buy Cabbage Seeds at any grocer's on completion
  
• Unlocks ability to buy 2* Cabbage from Mack's store on completion
  
• Cabbage 0* is available to buy from Mack's store by default

Cotton

Just a Hobby III

• Requires having Hanna on your Island and completing Just a Hobby I and II
  
• Requires delivering 20 3* Carrots and 40 Wheat to the Farmer's Guild Box
  
• Unlocks ability to buy Cotton Seeds at any Grocer's

Just a Hobby I

• Unlocks ability to buy Cotton Puffs from Hanna's store
  
• Requires Hanna on your island

Groceries

Rice, Can of Beans

Unlocked and purchasable by default at Grocer's

Ground Coffee, Tea Leaves

Intro to the Farmer's Guild

• Have Hanna, Iva, or Mack on your island
  
• Requires delivering 12 Turnips to the Farmer's Guild Box

Egg, Milk

Sow What I

• Complete Intro to the Farmer's Guild
  
• Requires delivering 9 Onions and 9 Potatoes to the Farmer's Guild Box

Meat Cube, Tofu

Intro to the Restaurateur's Guild

• After having a grocer move into the island, pick up the quest Back to the Nest on the board from Nobu
  
• On completion and Nobu Jr. moving in, complete the quest Moo-re to a Farm from the quest board from Nobu Jr., then complete Intro to the Rancher's Guild
  
• You will be able to invite a restaurateur from your mailbox once Intro to the Rancher's Guild quest is completed
  
• On restaurateur arrival, complete Intro to the Restaurateur's Guild

Workstations and Tools

Furnace

Furnace to Burn-it!

• Check the Bulletin Board after tutorial days and complete Counting Seeds
  
• Invite a grocer to complete New Horizon, unlocking the ability to invite a Carpenter using your mailbox
  
• Once Orie, Riku, Chae-Young, or Kumal has moved in, you can accept the quest Intro to the Carpenter's Guild
  
• On completion, Furnace to Burn-it! will appear on the board. Accepting the quest will unlock the ability to purchase the crafting blueprint for the Furnace from any carpenter's Blueprint Shop
  
• The carpenter must be working in order to access the Blueprint Shop

Alembic

Fragment of Nature

• Complete the offerings to the Grassy Plain's Obelisk to unlock the ability to invite an Alchemist using your mailbox
  
• Once Brandi, Bituin, or Ember has moved in, you can accept the quest Intro to the Alchemist's Guild
  
• On completion, Fragment of Nature will appear on the Bulletin Board
  
• You must claim the rewards from the quest once you've finished the subtasks and the Alembic's crafting recipe will be added to your crafting list

Jeweler's Table

Upgradin' Yer Tools

• Complete the offerings to the Grassy Plain's Obelisk to unlock the ability to invite an Alchemist using your mailbox
  
• Once Brandi, Bituin, or Ember has moved in, you can accept the quest Intro to the Alchemist's Guild
  
• On completion, Upgradin' Yer Tools will appear on the Bulletin Board
  
• You will be taught how to craft the Jeweler's Table directly once you accept the quest

Seed Maker

Turnip or the Seed?

• Have a grocer on the island to complete Intro to the Farmer's Guild, Sow What I, and Sow What II
  
• Have an alchemist on the island to complete Intro to the Alchemist's Guild and Fragment of Nature
  
• On Sow What II's completion, complete the quest Grow Faster! from the Bulletin Board to unlock Speed Grow
  
• On Grow Faster! completion, Turnip or the Seed will now be available on the Bulletin Board

Sprinklers

Sprinklers are divided into three sizes: Small Sprinkler (3x3), Sprinkler (5x5), and Large Sprinkler (7x7). Each size is unlocked separately through a series of quests.
Pretty Please? With Sprinkles On Top? - Small Sprinkler

• Have a grocer on the island to complete Intro to the Farmer's Guild and Well, Well, Well...
  
• On completion, Pretty Please? With Sprinklers On Top? will be available on the Bulletin Board.

Sprinkler Showers - Sprinkler

• Requires completing Turnip or the Seed? and having a Seed Maker to deliver a 1* Turnip Seed

Sprinklin' in the Rain - Large Sprinkler

• Available immediately on the Bulletin Board after completing Sprinkler Showers, requires deliver 10 2* Onion Seeds

All carpenters can be invited after successfully inviting a grocer and having them move in on your island.

All alchemists can be invited after completing the Grassy Plains Obelisk.

Restaurateurs

Once you have a grocer, you can take the quest Back to the Nest from Nobu on the quest board. This quest will trigger Nobu Jr.'s arrival. Once he arrives, take the quest Moo-re to a Farm, then Intro to the Rancher's Guild.
Once the guild quest is completed, you are able to invite a restaurateur.
Current restaurateurs that can be invited:

Villagers

Villagers are NPCs that don't have a shop. You will need at least one of them to unlock the quest Intro to Capital City.

Mailroom Clerk

You can still use the mailroom without a clerk. To be able to invite one, you must complete Intro to Capital City to unlock and complete Intro to the Capital Post Guild.

the softwood chair was my woopsie! any update past 0.9.4_9529 should now have the default softwood recipes unlocked in the shop

currently just finished the first obelisk and opened the mine, but i can't seem to find the softwood chair recipe anywhere? i don't have it unlocked, it isn't a reward from any of the quests, it isn't available in the BP shop... where do i get it? i can't complete a quest without it :( pls help
