How to install mods via GenLauncher

Installing GenLauncher

First we're going to install a Mod Launcher which comes with a bunch of config items.
Head over to GenLauncher's ModDB page and select 'files'.
Next, select the most recent version and it'll download.


Now, open your game's directory in SteamApps.
Open GenLauncher1006.zip and move the file 'GenLauncher.exe' to be within your game's root directory.
Then Run it and accept Windows Administrator permissions.
This window will now pop up.


Press 'ADD MOD!' and select from a list of the most popular mods. I'd recommend browsing ModDB's page by Most Popular to see which mod is right for you.


I've selected Generals 2, but feel free to try them all since they are very easy to swap in and out. Note that you can only have 1 mod active at a time.

I would highly recommend sticking to this launcher to ensure everything runs smoothly.

As I understand, GenLauncher supports only Zero Hour, If you want to play mods for regular Generals, you need to use a shortcuts or "Generals Mod Selector", which is part of TibEd 2... So it does not applies for regular Generals...

A lot of mods on a variety of games will use injections which Anti-Virus software will almost always flag as a threat and therefore block it, to bypass this, just disable your protection for 10 minutes, install the mod/ run the launcher in administrator mode and then re-enable anti-virus.

AntiVirus is not letting a .dll file run so Generals won't run. Any way to fix this?

I haven't had any issues with this game or Zero Hour so I can't help with crashes. There are other guides available which may help.
