Attractive Courtier DNA

Since many of you asked, here is my personal collection of courtier Replacement DNA (Including the 4 from my mod, Real Eyes 2: Natural Eye Colors). There are 72 courtiers in all from all around the map, organized by hair color. If you're like me and hate having a court full of inept, unattractive wastrels, now you can have inept, attractive wastrels. Ugly courtiers begone!

These courtiers have had their DNA edited extensively, so that their recessive DNA matches more with their dominant DNA. This way, you get kids that look more like their parents, and they retain their attractive traits. The majority of them are based on models, actors and people I've met in real life.

**I have updated this guide with pictures of characters in game** I will be uploading more DNA with Ruler DNA around Valentines Day 2025, so stay tuned!

How To Replace The DNA of a Character in the Game

1. Open up the game in Debug mode. Find the person (or people) who you want to replace, and right click on their profile. You'll know if you've done it right because you'll see the purple writing, and the character will have a lot of extra information. Here is an example of a character I want to replace in 867, Selyf. I replace him a lot because his is a landless noble and can easily be persuaded to join my court, but he's not much to look at.



You can see his character ID, which is beneath the purple writing, 9035. Write this number down, or take a screenshot, you'll need it later. Repeat these steps for all the characters you want to replace. You don't need to limit yourself to courtiers, you can replace the DNA of anyone, even a historical character!

2. Exit the game. Navigate to the file you just played in documents/paradox interactive/crusader kings 3/save games/autosave exit and open up that file.

3. Use the search button to search for them by their character ID, then put an equal sign = after it without a space. So it should look like 9035= for our example.

4. Keep searching until you see the character's information. It will have their name, ID, culture, birth year, skills, etc. What you want is the information listed under DNA. It will be in quotes, like this "dnastring". Delete everything in between the quotes, and then paste my DNA in between the quotes. Make sure you get all of it, and that it ends with a =, otherwise your character won't look right.

5. Rinse and repeat.

Afterwards, I typically go back into the game and assign my hotties with a beauty or good physique trait. Since many of my courtiers tend to be on the tall side, sometimes they get both. You can do this by pressing the ` and then typing in "add_trait beauty_good_2 9035" or "add_trait physique_good_1 9035". The number on the end determines how good looking or how good of a body they have, and 9035 is of course, his character ID. Use that any time you add someone a trait, unless you're adding it to your own character.

Does this constitute cheating? Technically, yes. But because so few attractive people are on the map, I like to make up for that. In real life, you'd have a least at few good looking people in every settlement. So, I like to think of this as no different than a beauty mod. But of course, it's your game, and this part is optional. From what I understand, if you don't enter into debug mode, you'll still be able to get achievements. (Haven't tested this out myself though.)

6. You also have the option to use my string (game) DNA into DNA that can be used in Ruler Designer, by following the steps here.

I want to ask, what is your mod order for all these beautification mods? I used your DNA but they look slightly different than the picture. Is Female B#11 (Italian) the third lady in the pictures of Real Eyes 2.0?

Thanks for your reply! I wonder which mod alters the beautiful trait on her, its makeup is much more subtle.

Yes, she is the same woman. The only difference is that she is shown with the beauty trait in the pictures on the mod, vs here, where she has no beauty trait and you can see her freckles. I think the pose is for the trait, "deceptive" or "arbitrary." Can't exactly remember what it's called, but I use a mod for the poses.
