Introduction
The scope of this guide is meant to aid players in reducing the amount of clutter inside a player’s game saves.
The save data location
On Steam it will usually be in the following path:
<Your drive letter>\Users\<Your username>\AppData\LocalLow\Frozen District
The folder files description
Once you accessed the following path, a few folders and files will be revealed to you:
-Override: This contains a Steam Cloud file. For this guide we will leave this folder be.
-Profiles: This folder contains your current in game profiles and that is the one that we will be focusing on in this guide.
-Pictures: Contains pictures. Unknown of which kind at this point. It also contains a Steam Cloud file. For this guide we will leave this folder alone too.
-Timelines: Unknwon purpose at this time. It also contains a Steam Cloud file. For this guide we will leave this folder alone as well.
-The remaining files correspond to various player logs and different player general game configs (like keybinds or game settings).
The Profiles Folder
Now the main focus of our guide. Inside this folder we will again have several folders and files. Some of which we definitely want to keep an eye on. Inside the folder you will again have a Steam Cloud file and, depending on how many profiles you have in game a folder with a number. For this example we will be using a folder with the name "0".
Inside the "0" folder, we will have again a series of files and folders:
-Freeplay
-Houses: Every time you flip a house in the game a file is stored in this folder. Over time this will get bigger.
-Jobs: Every time you complete a Job a file will be stored in this folder. Over time it will get bigger.
-Photos: Your profile screenshots will be stored here. It is always worth backing up if you wish to keep the screenshots.
-Sandbox Houses: All Sanbox Houses/Jobs data is stored here. This is also the folder we will use to backup the copies from the Houses and Jobs folders. I recommend leaving a single copy of them (the latest one and saving the rest of the duplicates to this folder if you wish to keep them). Also the following folders are recommended to be made inside it for organization purposes (the game does not care about those folders): Houses, Jobs and a name for the House and the Job inside of the respective folder as a sub-folder where the actual files will go to. This is only so each project you are working on/saving can be properly recognized and organized by the player. Any name will do as long as you know which one is which.
-The remaining files are profile save game data (like progress data, progress data backup, etc...).
Conclusion&Final thoughts
Overall, this is a welcome adition to the game. However, this files can become harder to manage as you play the game over time. Therefore, keeping your save data healthy and at a relatively healthy size is crucial. The ability to backup your built houses to Sandbox Mode is a welcome adition to the franchise.
I hope my guide helped you understand a bit how the save process works in House Flipper 2. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments if you have them about this guide. Thank you for reading and happy flipping :)

Great guide, needed it for another guide that wasn't working, because the save files back then were in the "My Documents" folder. Guess the devs moved it.
