Helpful Tips
Some tips and tricks to help you get more out of the game. They are in no particular order and are mostly off the top of my head things ive encountered while playing, Enjoy

  • Driving fast drains more fuel then you might expect on some setups, this causes more fuel costs and if your burning though fuel too early in the game fuel costs will eat a lot of your budget, especially since you should always be refueling with 87. Installing NOS will increase your fueling costs SIGNIFICANTLY, almost double. So be ready for that cost bump for NOS refills before you slap a NOS kit on.

  • Your first instinct will to be a pro gamer and go straight for power mods but I am here to tell you not to sweat it, as i beat most racers post patch with 250-300 hp. I had a lot better success putting my early mods into handling, tires, downforce... To get early game power, all you need is a intercooler, camshafts, and an air intake, and if your really feeling it in the budget a street turbo, nos and the engine heads can be done, after that your pretty well set to get Daisuke's lunch money if your skilled enough

  • AFK'ing in the overworld DOES pass time! Be careful to not just sit in one spot for too long if you wanna maximize your time in each night. I have gotten up to make food or do other things and wasted a whole night before... Hit pause or quit the game..

  • Jump to garage is you friend, you can jump to garage to save time money and fuel, instead of paying the racers to take you back... just jump back to Kiba garage then swing a left onto the highway and follow that highway until it splits in two and take a right merge. Your now back at Tatsumi.

  • The 180rs and the 200rs are very similar, the 180 is a 5 speed and the 200 is a 6 speed. The 180 has longer gears and tends to be better for early to mid game racing, the only downside is the top speed can suffer slightly, where as on the 200rs the acceleration suffers but your 6th gear gives you an edge in top speed over other racers, but you'll find yourself having to work harder on acceleration to keep up with them. Once you hit top speed you should be able to pass them.

  • Its OK to loose... What am i even saying? I'm a real gamer I don't wanna loose ever i'm the next Max Verstaphen I MUST win. Hold on there, if your remember the start of the game when "???" Yakuza man calls you, and says he'll take your car if you default on the loan? Well turns out if you DO loose all the money, he DOES take the car... but here's the catch, you get another DEBT FREE shoe box in this demo to go buy another car! So if your really down bad its not really the end of the world and you can just fail out and try again!

  • ETC tolls. You go through them you get charged... You SPEED though them you get fined! Well what if i park in front of it and reverse and then go foward and back through it? Yep it WILL charge you every time, so if you need to "loose" money for some reason there you go... Kinda useless but it does work.

  • Ai racers at Tatsumi will vanish as you beat them with your overwhelming giga chad aura. If your rep is too high the lower tier racers such as Sakura and Daisuke will disappear, so again if you wanna race those easier ai, taking some loses... those side bets might not be the worst idea!

  • Drag race tire heat... I was really dumb and couldn't figure out tire heat. Skill issue or dumb brain who knows, but I would just mash the gas and get maybe 30c on tire heat if i was lucky. Hit GAS & BRAKE while modulating them to do a much better tire heat.

  • Removing interior and body parts will lower your weight... 'nugh said

  • Nos on each use raises engine heat, please have good cooling before you slap 250 shot of nos on there... i actually really like the DIY 25 nos as you can time it just right as a more tactical boost coming out of corners and in technical sections where the AI slows down.

  • More on cooling and its sister stat strength, as long as your over 70-80% as a minimum your ok, but i like to be in the 90-100 range, anything over 100 is overkill and can be pulled back down towards 100 with power mods! Don't leave strength and cooling on the table your just wasting it.

  • Accessorizing/cosmetics are expensive save that for later, you'll know what I mean when you see some of those prices, if you really want it, get it. You should probably hold of if money is an issue.

  • Lastly if your cash rich and looking to buy cars, look for lower KM's on the clock and look for mods on the car, the lower the km the better shape the engine is in, mods preinstalled = saved money

I'm sure ya'll can put dozens more in the comments, and I may add more but that's it for now.

Edit 12/28/24: Thanks for all the views and traction/attention to this guide! I have updated some grammar, and spelling. I plan on doing a full write up for the full version of the game on launch for all your street racing needs! Have a great New Year you Giga Chads

Real chads get the 200RS, 6 speed gearbox and sunroof, the 180RS is a 5 speed gearbox and no sunny delight.

To burnout hold the clutch, rev bang the limiter, release the clutch and apply brakes when the wheels spin... like real life minus the burnt clutch.
