Windowed mode,Widescreen Patch, CRT filter, Reshade

This guide aims to guide you through adding modern features to this game.

Windowed mode and Widescreen

For widescreen resolution resolution follow this link (Pharaoh Resizer):

For windowed mode follow this link for patched files and color depth change + Pharaoh starter (automatically changes color depth to 16 bits, which is required to change the game into windowed mode)

CRT filter and Reshade:

Download dgVoodoo 2 (select latest stable version)

extract the following files to "yoursteamlibraryfolderhere/steamapps/common/Pharaoh + Cleopatra (you can also find the main game folder is by going to Steam > Library > Right click Pharaoh + Cleopatra in the left corner > Properties > Installed files > Browse

-dgVoodooCpl.exe

-Inside dgvoodoo2 zip folder, go to MS > x86 and extract D3DImm.dll and DDraw.dll and paste them inside the game folder (not with subfolders, only the files mentioned)

Run dgVoodooCpl.exe
General tab:
-In output API select Direct3D 11 (feature level 11.0)
In appearance select fullscreen or windowed or stretched (if you want the crt filter select the aspect ratio you want with the option of CRT-like in order to apply the CRT filter)
You can also skip the CRT filter to use CRT filter from reshade like the one included with SweetFx or CRT-Royale, more instructions below)

Directx tab:
For videocard select dgVoodoo virtual 3d accelerated card and VRAM select 256 MB
untick the box dgVoodoo Watermark
Leave other settings as is.


Reshade (requires dgVoodoo 2):

Download reshade from : https://reshade.me/#download
Run ReshadeSetup
Find the Pharaoh.exe from the list or by browsing (the path is the same mentioned before when extracting dgvoodoo files) and press Next.
Select Directx 10/11/12
Select the effects desired and install (CRT Royale requires a bit of tinkering with Reshade, personally I use dgVoodoo CRT filter)
Press finish

Run the game and enjoy!
