Use Tekken ID to add a friend (no need to meet them in game)

How to add friends with their Tekken ID without needing to meet them in game.

How to do it

You can add friends with their Tekken ID without meeting in game. To do this:

1) go to the Replay tab, and then Online Replay
2) open the menu (e..g start - see the icons at bottom of screen)
3) Search for replays with that 12 alphanumerical character ID. Don't input the dashes
4) You get a list of the replays involving the ID you looked for. Press the confirm button on any replay (see icons at bottom of screen)
5) Each match has two players. Show the profile of the player you're looking to friend - left is P1, right is P2. Match it up with the name you're looking for. So, choose either "Show P1 profile" or "Show P2 profile"
6) Open the profile menu (see icons at bottom of screen). You can send a friend request. You can also download ghost data, register as rival, follow, block and report.

Now they're your friend, you can invite them to Player Rooms, and you can use your friend list to track which lobby they are in to match with them e.g. on the cabinets.
