How to recover your save file via save edit

lost my save file but "recovered" it via save file editing
if somone has the same problem %appdata%locallow%funday%DRG survivor

there is a file called drgs open it up via editor

you can edit the credits and mats to get your upgrades back just press strg f and search for credits everything after that are the materials

Also class ranks are possible, but they are in reverse order 0,1,2,3

3 is the scout and 2 the gunner etc

one thing i need to mention you could unlock the classes by replacing "SCOUT" with "GUNNER" but the problem is the specs are tied to the player level.

The player level has another problem if you set it to like 7 you wont get the specs you have to level up your dwarves for that which becomes harder to do when you start at lvl 10 for example so keep that in mind.

milestone unlockables are not possible since they use algo strings for that

for me it works i just copy the drgs save file every time i boot the game up to be save

I reformatted my PC, re-downloaded the game and my save file is gone. I currently just unlocked Engineer and I do not remember the exact levels of the upgrades that I have upped. I have the old files but I cannot just drag and drop it to my game folder(s) because it just does not work. The above method did not work either. Do I really need to start from scratch?

uhm i put the path in the guide. you have to write %appdata% in the searchbar then click on on locallow its not in the folder that gets oppened by %appdata% but one before you can see the path at the top

i am unable to find the save file anywhere ivee spent over an hour trying things like turning off cloud save and playing for awhile but cant find the save file any tips on how to find it
