Dungeon's & Dragons Adventurer 1-2 Stonehill inn (second floor)

Adventure Summary: In the heart of the bustling town of Phandalin lies the Stonehill Inn, a roadside inn that makes a profit thanks to those who are drawn to the frontier in search of gold. Its owner, Toblen Stonehill, built the inn on the ruins of a much older structure: a mound built by the first settlers of Phandalin. Toblen doesn’t know that deep within his inn, right beneath where he now has the beer cellar, lies a tribal chief long since deceased.

The ever-sly powers of evil have set out to unearth the remains of the tribal chief and steal his funerary treasures. Taking advantage of the darkness of the night, they have sent their minions, a group of vile skull rats, to infest the inn and dig down to the hidden tomb. The adventurers, oblivious to all this, will arrive shortly after the initial rat attack. Meanwhile, the skull rats keep Toblen and his guests prisoners upstairs, while several swarms of smaller vermin dig a tunnel under the basement floor to locate the ancient lost tomb.
