Ship history ( totally fictional ) :
After the completion of the Vittorio class battleship, Brazilian navy has shown great interests in those design. Months later, they entrusted Italian to design a new battleship for them. In order to defeat Argentine navy, they specially required for 12 x 15 inch calibers.
Those ships has 12 x 15 inch calibers and 12 x 90 mm dp guns. Brazilian navy named it as Minas Gerais class battleship. Two ships all finished in 1943-1944, and delivered in 1945. After their arrival, the pressure on Argentine Navy has surged.
But good times don't last long. As the Allied Pacific situation improves, USN has finally turned its attention back to South America. Minas Gerais died in a sympathetic detonation during the fight in 1948. Her sister—Cisplatine—survived by chance, but severely damaged in the air raid, finally Dismantling in place after WWII.
