Save file location

This guide helps you find the location of the Enshrouded save files for your character and your maps.

Introduction

The save files for Enshrouded can be stored in two different paths. The location depends on whether you are saving the game with Steam Cloud or not.

The character save file is named "characters"

The map save files are named "3ad85aea" and "3ad85aea_info"
Multiple worlds can be saved in this files.

File location when the game is saved with Steam Cloud

If you save your game via Steam Cloud, you can find your character and map files at the following address in Explorer:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOURSTEAMID\1203620\remote\

You can find "YOURSTEAMID" in your Steam settings. Your friend code is "YOURSTEAMID"
"C:\Program Files (x86)" may vary depending on where Steam is installed.

File location when the game is NOT saved with Steam Cloud

If you don't save your game via Steam Cloud, you can find your character and map files at the following address in Explorer:

C:\Users\%username%\Saved Games\Enshrouded

You can directly coppy this path into your Explorer address bar.

Also bei mir gibt es keinen 1203620 Ordner.


Zudem eignet sich {LIEN SUPPRIMÉ}steamid.xyz bei Privaten Steam Accs besser.

@CreamOfYeet use https://www.steamidfinder.com/ , input your steam id. The website should return multiple id's format. The id format that steam use to create folder on your computer is the SteamID3

You should have everything if you have Steam Cloud enabled. If not, you can simply copy the save files.

your "steam ID" folder should be the only folder after going into the "userdata" folder, you shouldn't need to look for your "steam ID" unless you have multiple people logging into your computer and accessing their own steam account. Good write up though, much appreciated.

There is no steam ID folder, none of these even come close to a steam ID's length.
