Welcome to XTwisters 2!

XTwisters 2 is the newest and next generation of Garry's mod tornado and disaster (somewhat bomb related) addons.
XT2 includes Weather and Tornadoes, some other disasters aswell.

You may require the HL Episodes / L4D2

Features.
  • Tons of more particles and variations! There's dozens and dozens of particles and way more than XT1 (300+ different particles for tornadoes!)
  • Tornadoes are realistically simulated with wind-fields that have smooth fade ins, varying wind-speeds and intensity. Including subvorts and more.
  • Weather is visually pleasing and made to be immersive whilst balancing out a gameplay experience.
  • Extreme optimization, this mod is heavily optimized and features an anti-lag option in the settings menu.

Options.

For disabling screenshake, tornado speed, lifetime, etc. can be found in your XTwisters 2 Tool tab. This includes more settings and features you can change and alter to your preferred experience.

DISCLAIMER

This mod is not made for strictly realism purposes, it's a good balance between gameplay and detailing. Don't get mad when some features aren't godly realistic.
As this mod is in public BETA it is possibly prone to error/crashes, use at your own risk.
Wiremod is optional! IT IS NOT REQUIRED!

Hey, question for the natural spawning. If i want to see more twisters, Do i put the exponent multiplier higher or lower. I'm not sure if it makes the time between twisters higher, or if it makes the NUMBER of twisters increase...

Hello! Devs... I need to applaud you all with joy. This mod is nothing but, incredible. I do have Three small requests for this mod. It doesn't have a "Mega Wedge" Category. These Tornadoes are so massive, they should have their OWN Category of Tornado Spawn, in the menu. I believe these Tornadoes are wonderful, and they always seem to make me shake in Horror. Next, is Horizontal Vortices and SVC. A Streamline Vorticity Current, is cyclonic, and flows with the Vertical Convection of the Tornado. The RFD, is Already beautiful. It just needs an SVC with Realistic Vortices forming. Then, More Customization options. We deal with enough for this mod, but it needs more detailed Settings. Such as Graphics settings, Sharpness, and Shading.

That's all! Thanks for this Mod. Without it, I wouldn't be able to study Tornadoes... from the comfort of my own living room!

I really wanna find the version of this where the vehicles (mainly non simfphys) aren't broken.. There was a time where they rolled around instead of.. Well..

XTwisters 2 is currently on a indefinite hiatus due to the main dev (RainbowDoesStuff) taking a break, working on other projects and finding the mod difficult to work with. The addon won't be updated for a long while
