Este mod se trata de un repintado del mod "Stadler FLIRT160/200" realizado por Gotthard y Werkstatt, que tienen todos los créditos como autores originales.

El repintado de esta unidad moderna de Stadler pretende emular los trenes de la futura serie 453 de Renfe que esta empresa está construyendo, dado el parecido entre estos trenes y las primeras imágenes de los nuevos trenes de Renfe. Si bien, hay que remarcar que los trenes encargados por Renfe cuentan con coches de 1 y 2 pisos mientras que el tren del mod solo cuenta con coches de 1 piso y con menos puertas.

Las nuevas Unidades de Tren 453 responden a la necesidad de Renfe Operadora de modernizar los servicios de Cercanías de las principales ciudades españolas. Está previsto que las primeras unidades empiecen a circular a finales del 2024.
