Configure Discovery.exe (The Finals)
Step 1: Open NVIDIA Control Panel

  1. Right-click on your desktop to access the context menu.
  2. Select "NVIDIA Control Panel" from the menu.

Step 2: Manage 3D Settings

  • Navigate to "Manage 3D Settings" in the NVIDIA Control Panel from the left-hand menu.

Step 3: Global Settings vs Program Settings

1. Distinguish between "Global Settings" and "Program Settings"
  • - Global Settings: Set to "Maximum Performance" in this step.
  • - Program Settings: Customize for individual applications.

Step 4: Set Global Settings for Maximum Performance

1. Choose "Maximum Performance" under the "Power management mode" in the "Global Settings"

Step 5: Add and Browse for the Game Application

  1. Click "Add" to add a new application.
  2. Navigate to the game's executable file by selecting "Browse" and follow the path: `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Finals\Discovery\Binaries\Win64`
  3. Choose the file "discovery.exe" and click "Open"

Step 6: Customize Specific Game Settings

1. Set "Maximum Pre-rendered Frames" to "Off"
2. Enable "Threaded Optimization"
3. Disable "Low Latency Mode"
4. Set "Power Management Mode" to "Prefer Maximum Performance"
5. Disable Antialiasing.
6. Set "OpenGL rendering GPU" to "High-Performance NVIDIA Processor"
7. Texture filtering:
- Anisotropic filtering: Enable
- Quality: High performance
- Trilinear optimization: Enable

After these settings my fps went up.
