WTC Compatible Terrain Pack for Warhammer 40k

Beschreibung
I wasn’t satisfied with the majority of the terrain options out there for Warhammer 40k on TTS, so I decided to make a set of my own.

This set includes 3 “Imperium” style terrain pieces that are dimensioned to the specifications laid out in the WTC 2023 map pack. These include the appropriately sized footprints where applicable:

- Three Storey Ruin
- Two Storey Ruin
- Armored Containers (a single container, and a stack of 2 containers in various colors)

The colliders on these terrain pieces are designed for maximum playability, and therefore are very forgiving as to where you can place models on them. Use good judgment and don’t place models where they wouldn’t be able to be put in the actual tabletop game.

I have also included a few other terrain pieces that are not listed in the 2023 WTC Map Pack. Some of these were included in the WTC in prior years, and others are intended more for casual/narrative games and/or scatter terrain. All are designed to have the same high level of playability as the WTC-spec pieces listed above:

- Crater
- Double Crater
- “Forest” (A field of building debris and industrial detritus)
- Industrial Vent

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS/FYI:
This is not an “automatic” terrain generator. To use these you will need to have a basic understanding of how to position and lock static models in TTS in order to create maps with them, and how models/pieces with “states” work. Google is your friend.

- As of the 2/9/24 update you can “additive load” the terrain and matching game mat into the FTC Competitive 40k Map Base and most other BCB compatible tables.

- Once you have placed these terrain pieces, you must “lock” all of them. Not only to protect them from being accidentally moved during the game, but also to ensure that the colliders will work properly so players can place models normally on or inside them.

- The 2 and 3 storey ruins have “states”. By changing the state, you can hide the floors, making it easier to position models inside and move models around on the footprint. However, I’ve designed the colliders on these to be relatively hassle-free so you shouldn’t have to do this at all in most cases.

- The armored crates have states as well, but changing them just cycles through the various available colors.

- For all terrain pieces that have “states”, state #1 is unlocked and any other states are locked by default. As in line with the first bullet point, be sure to lock state #1 as well so the piece will function normally in game.

- Several pieces (like the ruins) have debris piles on them in some places that will obscure the bases and parts of the legs of models placed on them as if they are actually standing in a debris pile. This is normal. I’ve found this not to be obstructive to gameplay and a nice touch, but if you dislike it and find it annoying let me know - if I get many instances of negative feedback on this I will remove the feature.

- The 2 and 3 storey ruins each have a second version (tagged “v2”). These are functionally the same as the first version. The only difference is that the “L” shape of the ruin is reversed.

Thanks for trying out this mod and let me know what you think below. I will try to get to any bugs and errors as soon as I am able, but please understand that I’m just one guy with a family and job responsibilities who mods games for fun in my spare time. It might take me a while to get around to it.

Feel free to distribute and include in your own mods if you want. If you do, a credit/shout-out for the original and a link back would be super nice of you, but not required.

Have fun!

* The table used in the screenshots is the FTC Competitive 40k Map Base for 10th edition by ThePants999 (highly recommended)
** The Black Templar and Drukhari models used in the screenshots are from the Battleforged-Workshop-Mod-Compilation on GitHub (also highly recommended)

@Raikoh Thanks, I appreciate that, and sorry for my late response! I modeled and textured everything in the mod - no previously-existing files were used/ported over.

incredible work! are these made from STLs and then textured by you? or did you make them from scratch?
