XPAND RALLY - Windows 11 Launch Crash FIX (2024 + 2025)

Welcome To Xpand Rally Windows 11 Launch Guide!!!

Having problems in launching XPAND Rally in Windows 11? Find the Fix Below

NOTE: FILE NAMES HAVE CHANGES AS PER USER'S COMMENT PLEASE ADD THOSE FILES

***For some users it is observed that new file names are present and those which to be added are "XRX" and "ChromeED" ***

Problem - Steam Silent Crash

Note : Please do not run the game in any compatibility mode for this to work!!! [Credits to Sophie for pointing it out]

• You Open Steam where you have Xpand Rally

  
  

• You click on "PLAY" and Select "Play Xpand Rally"

  
  

• You see game shows running and Crashes Silently with no error messages

  

Fixing this Crash!

• Click "START" then search for "SETTINGS" and Open it

• Click "SYSTEM" on the Left Panel in Setting page

• Click "ABOUT" in the bottom of the list in System Page

• Click "ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS" in System > About Page

• It Opens up a Pop Up Window called "SYSTEM PROPERTIES" there navigate to "ADVANCED" tab and Click on "SETTINGS" under Performance Section

• It Opens up "PERFORMANCE OPTIONS", there navigate and Click on "DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION" tab

• Click on "ADD" under the DEP Page

• Navigate to the Xpand Rally Steam Location "steamapps\common\Xpand Rally" and Select and add the two exe files

  "ChromEd.exe" [For Some users it will be the "ChromeED" file] and "xpandrally.exe" [For Some users it will be the "XRX" file]

  from the folder

• Once the files are added, Click "APPLY" and Click "Ok"

• Now Try Launching the game. It SHOULD WORK!!!

Let me know if this works or not. Like you i have been digging the internet for the solution. I came across a comment where someone mentioned DEP and this is what i figured out and it worked for me.

This is my very first guide so please dont hate if its not that great and presentable!

I have updated the guide hope this might help you now. Start with a fresh install if possible. If this too could not get it to working then apologies

Do not rename the files. Let that file be the same. For some users the file names are renamed automatically. Let me update the guide

Still sadly didnt work. I deleted the Old Renamed files because i had the Unrenamed files and the renamed files i then renamed the files new and still after doing that it didnt work and it gave the same error saying something like: "At starting of the game a failure arised: Game File is missing - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Xpand Rally\xpandrally.exe"

Try validating the files again and re-add the files. Also check for both the file name not sure which one it is right now.

It still doesnt seem to launch. At first i launched it from steam and it said it was missing a file. so i launched it from my Desktop and it then silent crashed again. Did i do something wrong? i followed the Guide step by step.
