Creating a strong hungary

Usually hungary is the first country to fall from the big countries.That's because:
-Hungary has only two somewhat-well taxing province (Pozsony and Szepes) and two mediumly taxing (Pest and Sopron) while the rest has no more tax than 5
-Low manpower
-Surrounded by enemies
-and there are even more but I'am lazy to write them down...

This guide is to help you start off well as Hungary so you can conquer the world.

Starting off

The first thing you can tell when you start is you are surrounded with enemies:Venice, Bosnia, Serbia, Austria, Bohemia later the Ottomans and sometimes Poland.

Your first thing to do is to defeat Austria and when you defeated it, you defeat it again until Austria is weak enghoungh not to bother you.
To do this you have two key countries:
-Burgundy
-Poland
Poland is not always friendly towards you, so when you start off Poland as rival, you should restart (exept if you think you can handle Austria, Bohemia and Poland with Burgundy, mind that you have to defeat France too to keep Burguny alive).

When you start off check if Poland is your friend or foe.If they are friendly towards you, marry them and ally Burgundy.Poland will offer ally later on (after a month max.).Most hungarian players focus on Serbia and Bosnia first.DO NOT DO THAT BECAUSE THE SERBIAN AND BOSNIAN TERRITORIES HAVE DIFFERENT RELIGION LEADING TO ONLY PAIN IN THE BUTT!
If you want to defeat France easier ally castile too.Now get a claim on an Austrian territory.You should start off with either Ostmark or Krain because Staiermark haven't got that much tax.
If the claim is done you can atack Austria but you should wait until they are in another war and make sure you reached your 100% of land maintance limit.You can discard your ship(s) because they are just sinking your income (0.2 can be much expecially because 1 galley don't do much against Austria or Venice).

The first war

If you don't have Poland as ally

Okay, so you have decleared war on Austria.You have to immideantly move your troops away from autrian troops, because they are stronger.Wait for Burgundy to help you out.Burgundy will probably deal with one of Austria's ally so you have to wait some and if Burgundy is done, make peace with the defeated ally.Make sure to give Burgundy some provinces or annex it (all provinces to Burgundy).You can make Burgundian vassal of it.If there are no other Austrian allies near Burgundy, they'll send the burgundian army to help you out.When you spot a burgundian army in Austria, you can come out and atack one of Austria's army or wait until Burgundy does, BUT NEVER WATCH UNTILT BURGUNDY WILL DO THE REST BECAUSE AUTRIA AND HIS ALLIES ARE GONNA HAVE 40K+ ARMIES (sometimes even 60k).

Once you defeated the grand autrian army chase them as long as they won't shatter.After that you can start taking your war goal and more.Don't take too much territories or else it'll upset other countries and you won't be able to defeat Autria again (military coalitions!).

Take no more than 2 (only your wargoal is recommended) provinces.After you won get ready to atack Austria again after like 5 years (if you take only 1 province and some gold).It is also a good idea to take as much ducats as possible because you probably gonna have loan(s).

If you have Poland as ally

It's mostly the same exept the fact that you can maybe destroy the Austrian army sooner (or easier).Mind that Poland have no more than 25k soldier paired with your 22-23k soldier.It's still 40k+ tho'.

The second war

If you were looking around, you can see that Ottomans are closing towards you.Because of this it is recommended to deal with Austria as soon as the peace goes away.Poland will probably atack Teutonic Order, help them.

There are two options that may happen:

If France and Burgundy being at war

Then you are gonna have a hard time winnig the war (probalby if you have historical lucky nations on) exept if Burgundy has Castile as ally or you can make Castile to help you.The tactic is simple:
Send your troops to help out burgundian troops and if you are done with the grand france army chase it down until it shatters and then kill the little troops to make sure they won't create a grand army again.You should expect atleast 2 loans...

If noone of your allies go to war

Then you have a free chance to crush Autria for once and all.Get a claim on Kärten or Krain (depending on wich one you did before) and atack Austria.If Poland won't help you out, that's not catastrophe because Autria is weakened because of the imperial wars and because you defeated them.

When you won the war you can now take more provinces because the goal is to crush Autria.

If Autria is allied to a smaller country like Bosnia, Serbia, Ragusa etc.

It actually happened to me:Autria allied with Bosnia so I could decleare war on Bosni, preventing the Austrian allies to help against you.

Unusual happenings

Poland breaks ally with you after having PU with Lituania

It'll probably makes harder your game because Poland has a mere 22k army and Lituania has 30k+ and Burgundy won't help you every time.

Burgundy declear war or Liege or other smaller country inside the empire

It may help you because Austria won't call his allies to war (sometimes he do) so you can take care of 'em easier.Mind that Burgundy will be the war leader!

Burgundy loses the war against France

Well, you still has Poland and maybe some smaller allies, and the crushed Burgundy.The only problem is when Poland wants your provinces while Burgundy can't help you.

Ottomans atack you sooner then they should

After the second one you should be able to defeat them but after the first one, you should pray for the paradox gods to be able to defend with Poland and Burgundy accepts the war invite (distant war).

Outtro

From here will you stop the Ottomans to bits?Or you' gonna destroy Austria even more to get Tirol?It's all up to you with Burgundy on your side, nothing is impossible.(Pray for the Paradox gods France nor Austria will get the Burgundian throne)

ah, a fellow Hungary Chad. Hungary is my favorite nation to play and I've perfected it my Hungarian brother. First, you don't need Poland. No need to restart if they rival you, just take Bohemia as ally and possibly Brandenburg and/or Milan but don't ally any more than two nations. This is just a deterrent to Austria and Poland. Try to get Moldavia as March. If not that's ok. Vassalize Wallachia as soon as you complete the mission. Then get Serbia before Ottomans take the gold province (this is very important). Also get Bosnia as a vassal. Don't forget to take strong duchies. Now you've truly created something to fear. I refer to this strategy as "Hungary and the Balkan Boys."

I personally go Wallachia, then try to get Bosnia etc
