Quick Thing...
This guide will include EVERYTHING you need to know (as well as strategies I've used to perfect the game) Because I know that some achievements in this game are really confusing and complex—for me at least. There is also a possibility with some of these achievements that you could mess them up and have to restart the entire game. So this guide is here to help you avoid that :))

Hope this helps you out! <3

(Also this is the first ever guide I am writing on Steam, so please let me know if I miss anything or I forget to add any information—or if any of my information is wrong.)

QUICK WARNING!

Some of these sections will include spoilers to the game, but I will warn you before you look through a section and I will try my best not to add any really big spoilers to this guide :))
The Beginning Achievements

Deal with the Devil was the first achievement I got in Cult of the Lamb.

This is one of the easiest achievements in the game and pops up after you choose to start a cult for the "One Who Waits"

This achievement should be pretty easy to get, but here is a quick explanation of it just in case.

After you meet with Ratau, and as he tells you important things about bringing about a cult and such, you will soon have the ability to indoctrinate your first follower into your beautiful little cult :)

You will get this achievement after you defeat your first ever mini-boss. As you progress through the game, it will almost be impossible to miss this achievement.

You will get this achievement after you choose your first doctrine :)

You will get this achievement after you perform your first ritual. (This is story related so it can't really be missed.)

Exactly how it sounds. Just win a game of knucklebones :))

And, also yes, you should learn how to play knucklebones here if you want to 100% Cult of the Lamb (because there is an even harder achievement relating to knucklebones.)

You will get this achievement when your first follower dies of old age. This will happen eventually as you progress in your cult of the lamb game.

This achievement you get after you sacrifice a follower for the first time. Once you get the sacrificing ritual, the rest should be easy.

(quick tip: I suggest sacrificing followers as you play the game, because there is an achievement where you need to sacrifice 10 followers. And the cooldown for the ritual will be a pain in the butt when you need to sacrifice 9 followers just to get the achievement.)

So, basically, as you go through the game you will probably come across the meat of your dead followers (for when you sacrifice or harvest the meat from a dead follower,)

but you can also get follower meat from Chemach (by destroying the wrapped-up dead bodies)
and Helob (by destroying the firepit next to him.)
The follower meat meal should be an option when you have the materials to make it.

Okay so this achievement may not fit the category of being a "beginning achievement," but nevertheless...
You can get this achievement after you unlock Pilgrim's Passage (by going through crusades and finding the fisherman)

Pilgrim's Passage is one of the four different areas you can unlock to travel.

This one:

There is a lighthouse to the left of Pilgrim's Passage, and upon arriving inside there will be a guy that you can speak with.

I'm not sure how many times you have to talk to him—but I think its a very small amount—but at some point he asks you to relight the light house with 5 lumber.

After doing this, you will get the achievement.
The Flock Grows, Flock of Many, and Flock of All

These achievements aren't that hard to get. These achievements require you to gain a certain amount of followers (5, 10, 20) and, yes, this is mandatory for game progression.

Here are some ways to get followers:

  • Through Crusades
  • From Helob
  • From your followers

Through Crusades

This is the easiest way (and the first way) to get your followers for your amazing cult. Upon arriving to this little diamond with the person logo inside, you just have to fight a few enemies and earn your prize (a follower.)

Sometimes this can be different, where it is just a follower in the middle and you have to say the right thing to sway them to want to join your cult too.

From Helob

Helob is a fellow spider that eats followers and becomes available right outside the doors to Anura after you explore. He sells you followers for gold and changes the price based on if the follower is elderly, hungry, or sick. (sometimes he gives out freebies like the kind spider he is.)

From your followers

I don't have a good image of this, but sometimes your preexisting followers will give you quests to take in people that are either elderly, sick, or rebelling.

(I always take these quests because its an easy way to earn faith, and it also gives me more followers, what else could you ever want?)
The "Later in the Game" Achievements

This achievement you will unlock when you find all 5 locations for your little lamb to travel.

This one is unlocked after you find all 4 people (not including the lonely shack) that represent these 4 locations. After you go through Darkwood, Anura, Anchordeep, and Silk Cradle, you should be able to find all of the locations. It just takes some time to get to this point in the game.

This is also a pretty straightforward achievement. You just need to have saved up 666 coins (not exactly—you could have gone over.)

This achievement just takes time to get to this amount.

The easiest ways to earn money in Cult of the Lamb are:

  • By going through Crusades
  • By killing bosses and mini-bosses
  • By using the chest in your cult to sell things you have

  • and probably by doing other things too

Now, this was one of my last achievements only because I never unlocked the confession box.

So in order to unlock this achievement, you need to unlock the confession box in your tree of things to unlock (after you reach a certain amount of faith.)

After you place this structure down and build it, you are able to go inside and pick a follower to take a confession from. After you do this you will get the achievement (and your follower will gain a heck of a lot of loyalty too.)

This achievement is unlocked when you fully upgrade your cult to the highest tier.

(note: You do not have to unlock everything in your unlock tree. You just need to unlock Tier 4 of your cult, which is at the very top.)

This achievement frustrated me. With this achievement, you have to find the 3 additional members to play knucklebones with and beat them.
You have to find each of the 3 people (that cane be found in crusades) Don't worry, you won't be able to miss them while you are playing. When you do this, the beating them part can be frustrating.

It took me a bit, but you just need some luck, a rough idea of how the game works, and a LOT of patience (because I didn't have any luck on my side haha.)

I believe in you, and you got this.

And if you need some extra help with this achievement, here is a pretty good guide on everything you need to know about knucklebones: Knucklebones Guide[www.thegamer.com]

When you talk to the fisherman, he will give you a quest to find 4 of each fish. This quest unlocks a special area where you can fish in Pilgrim's Passage. It will take a couple of days going back and forth until you catch all of them.

Here is a list of the fish you need to catch:

  • Blowfish
  • Crab
  • Lobster
  • Minnow
  • Octopus
  • Salmon
  • Squid
  • Swordfish
  • Tuna

You unlock this achievement after you unlock all 24 doctrines (which as you progress through the game, it shouldn't be that difficult to do.)

This achievement is unlocked when you sacrifice 10 followers using the sacrifice ritual.

This achievement just takes time (because of the resources needed for the ritual and the cooldown timer)

These achievements can be unlocked after you defeat each respecting boss of Darkwood, Anura, Anchordeep, and Silk Cradle.

These are pretty easy achievements to get, and if you are struggling somewhere you can always change the difficulty of your game in the settings :))

Collection Achievements
These ones do take some time, because there is a lot to collect, but its worth the time to get that blue badge on your cult of the lamb game :))

For this achievement you just have to perform Sermons and unlock all of the curses and weapons.

This one is a bit of a hassle. But here is a really good guide to all of the follower skins that I used to get them all. Don't worry, DLC skins don't count towards the achievement :))

All Follow Skins

For this achievement, you need to get every Tarot card in the game. A lot of them can be bought.

Here is a really good list from The Gamer[www.thegamer.com] that tells you where every single Tarot card can be unlocked.

This is one of the hardest achievements in the game, and I have a suspicion why. In order to unlock this achievement you need to unlock every relic.

I have another really useful list from The Gamer[www.thegamer.com] that really helped me get all of the relics.

Don't worry about the two relics I outlined in red. Before you try and obtain those go to the "True Love Found" Section of this guide, and I will explain exactly how to get these without messing up and having to restart the entire game.

The End Game Achievements
⚠️⚠️⚠️WARNING⚠️⚠️⚠️
These next achievements most likely will include spoilers to the game (and same with the rest of the ones after this section.)

You complete this achievement when you defeat The One who Waits.

You have to refuse to be sacrificed from him and fight him until you beat him.

IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE

When you defeat the one who waits there will be an option to either kill him or spare him.
IF YOU WANT TO 100% THE GAME WITHOUT PLAYING IT A SECOND TIME PLEASE DON'T KILL HIM! There is an achievement to indoctrinate all five bishops into your cult, and you need to spare The One Who Waits to complete it.

Shake down is a harder achievement. As you go through crusades, you will meet up with Midas (a greedy gold thief,) and usually he will be doing something until he steals your gold and runs away.

You have to meet with him like this a couple times by chance through crusades until he steals your money and stays there instead of leaving. You have to beat him up and take your money back and you will get your achievement (and all of your money.)

So after you defeat The One Who Waits, there is way more to the game.

There will be a new NPC that is initially called "???" until you give him a name. He will give you a quest to go back to each area (since now they are locked again,) and you need to go through and finally end the suffering of Leshy, Heket, Kallamar, and Shamura.

You will get god tears (a tradeable item to ???) for every boss and mini boss you complete, and when you defeat each bishop, they will now be a part of your cult and you will get the achievement.

Another thing to note:

You need followers with high levels to sacrifice to get in each door. The best way to raise a followers level (from what I was doing) are:

  • Giving them a necklace
  • Completing any quests from them
  • Doing rituals and Sermons
  • Giving them small gifts and big gifts
  • Bringing them into a confession box

Giving them small gifts and big gifts

The best way to get small gifts and big gifts is from Forneus's shop.
If you destroy all of the surroundings, you will get a lot of good loot (like big gifts and small gifts.)

This is the last achievement of the game, and you achieve it by unlocking all of the other achievements. Some people have reported it bugging out for them, but it never did with me so I think you should be alright :))
Transform and Transmute

These achievements you get by unlocking Fleece's that your lamb can wear for special effects during crusades.

In order to get Fleece, you need something called Holy Talismans. Something to note is that there is exactly enough to unlock in the game to get every fleece. There isn't a way to get more and there isn't a way to get less. They are all available to you in the game.

To help you out, I am going to show you where exactly and how you can get each and every part of the Holy Talismans that are needed for every fleece.

If you want a guide (that wrote about this stuff a bit better, here it is: Holy Talisman Guide[www.thegamer.com]

Here is where you can collect every Holy Talisman shard:

  • You get 1 Holy Talisman in Pilgram's Passage
  • You get 1 Holy Talisman in Spore Grotto
  • You get 2 Holy Talismans in Smuggler's Sanctuary (I'm pretty sure that's how many I got but it could be less)
  • You get 1 Holy Talisman in Midas's Cave
  • You get 1 Holy Talisman from the Creature from the Deep
  • You get the rest from ???

No matter how many you get from each, you will have enough Holy Talismans to unlock every single Fleece.

Pilgram's Passage

The fisherman next to the water will give you a quest to find 4 different fish. After you do this you will be able to buy any fish from him at any time. For each fish you give him he will give you a Holy Talisman shard.

  • Crab
  • Lobster
  • Squid
  • Octopus

Spore Grotto

Sozo, a guy who has lost his marbles over mushrooms, gives you a quest to find mushrooms. Here is what you need to do in order to get all 4 pieces of the Holy Talisman. (When you do this, he will set up a little spot to give you devotion.)

  • Bring Sozo 10 mushrooms
  • Bring Sozo 20 mushrooms
  • Perform the new Brainwashing Ritual that he gives you
  • Build the Mushroom Sculpture that you just unlocked

Mushroom Sculpture:
Smuggler's Sanctuary

Now, in my game I had to do his quest twice. I'm not sure if that was a glitch, or if that was because of the new DLC with ???, but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't matter that much because ??? will give you enough Holy Talisman pieces for these achievements anyway.

You need to go through crusades through Anura, Darkwood, Silk Cradle, and Anchordeep (without skipping through parts,) to fight mini-bosses called Witnesses. There are 4 in total, and when you defeat one, you will get an Eye of Witness that you can trade for Holy Talisman Pieces.

Midas's Cave

In Midas's Cave, near his throne, he will ask you to sacrifice 4 of your followers, each for a Holy Talisman piece.

Creature from the Deep

This is a character in the game that some people never come across. He is found in 4 of the above locations and he can only be found at night.

Here are each of the locations that you can find him:

Pilgram's Passage:

Spore Grotto:

Smuggler's Sanctuary:

Midas's Cave:

You will find a blue moon under the spot you need to stand to summon him, and when you can summon him you will get a pop up saying "look into the darkness?"

BE CAREFUL! Make sure you defeated Ratau at knucklebones before you do this quest, because one of the things you need to give up for a fleece is Ratau himself.

Each one will give you a Holy Talisman in total
  • Bring them a large tuna fish.
  • Sacrifice one follower.
  • Choose to sacrifice two followers or half a heart (one of your health stats).
  • Sacrifice your friend Ratau.

???
If you are ever in doubt, and you ran out of Holy Talisman pieces, ??? has the ones you need.
When you defeat Heket, Leshy, Shamura, and Kallamar for the second time in a row, he will award you with god tears.

When you give him a god tear, a wheel will spin and you will get either a follower blueprint, a necklace, a Forgotten Commandment Stone, or a Holy Talisman piece.
Note: You can also get God Tears from going into Purgatory after you defeat all of the bishops again.

IMPORTANT THING: With the necklace's he gives you, DONT GIVE THEM TO YOUR FOLLOWERS YET! There is a really confusing and complex achievement that is really easy to mess up and miss. So to be safe, don't give any of your followers any of these necklaces:
Order, Sate, Cure and Peace

This was one of the hardest achievements for me, because in order to unlock all of these, you need to fight all bishops without taking damage.

Remember that you can always change the difficulty in the settings.

ALSO TO NOTE after you have defeated each of these bosses, you can always go back and refight them.

If you hit one of the bishop's statues at the beginning of a crusade, you are instantly able to be teleported back to the boss arena so you can fight them.

How I did it?

Now I was able to get Order and Sate pretty easily; it was Cure and Peace that was giving me trouble. I was struggling for a good while until I changed my fleece.

For some it might make the game too easy because this is a very overpowered fleece, but if you are like me and you struggled for hours and hours and you kept getting hit by impossible to dodge moves. This really helped me.

This fleece makes it so you have a half a heart, you can't earn more and if you get hit once you die. With this fleece you get so much more powerful that you can pretty much one shot anything.

The bosses die to about 2-4 hits and it seriously helped me from stressing out about completing these two achievements.

So if you are stuck and you need any help, this really helped me.
True Love Found

For this achievement, this person on True Achievements [www.trueachievements.com] really said it well. This is what they said about the achievement:

Just a heads up, this is lucky based from what I tested.

So, Relics of the Old Faith added a new npc you can talk and trade Gods Tears for a spin, which you can get a lost doctrine, a follower form, a piece of a holy talisman, and a necklace. The npc in question is the one you name it, firstly encountered as "???". You need two necklaces, Necklace of Light and Dark Necklace, and you can only get them from this new npc. Once you have them, make a follower wear one of the necklaces, and sacrifice them, when sacrificing, the follower will be traded for Baal if hes using the Necklace of Light, and Aym if hes using the Dark Necklace. Once you get both of them, turn them into demons, and go on a crusade. Forneus "shop"(which is a house with a cat under it) will have a green exclamation point, just get there, and a little cutscene will play. This is needed for collecting all relics, since when reuniting Baal and Aym with Forneus gives 2 relics. And yes, you lose them after reuniting them.

(Only SACRIFICE works)

(Dark Necklace looks like a moon, and Necklace of Light looks like a sun)

Something I forgot, DO NOT place the necklace on a follower and lets say, give them to the door, or turn into gold in Midas cave, those actions deletes that follower per say, the necklace will be lost, since you can only get one copy of each. Read about a lot of people doing that mistake.

So basically, to sum up what they said...

  • You need to give ??? God Tears until they give you a necklace of Darkness, and a necklace of Light.

  • You need to give one to a follower
  • You need to sacrifice them (With only the sacrificing ritual)
  • You need to give the other one to a different follower (WHEN THE COOLDOWN IS DONE FOR THE SACRIFICING RITUAL)
  • You need to sacrifice them
  • You need a tier 2 demon summoning station (I forgot what it is called)
  • You need to make Baal and Aym demons

  • You need to bring them with you to (any) crusade
  • You need to go to Forneus shop with them

And then watch the cut scene and you should get the achievement :))
Slayer of Souls (Hardest Achievement)

Here is a video of this achievement being completed:

To achieve the hardest achievement in the game, you need to have completed everything to do with ???. When you defeat all of the bishops again, he will unlock something called Purgatory. This is kind of like a really long crusade (that reminds me of Hades,) where you go through every single boss in the game until The One Who Waits.

For this achievement, you have to go through purgatory I think 4-6 times (successfully) with the same fleece until you are able to beat every boss (including The One Who Waits) in one row.

Sounds hard? It is! It took me a while to get it. Also, the monsters do get harder in purgatory (at least from my perspective playing it) and it is also super easy to die and lose your progress.

I know you can do it, and I wish you luck!

That's all!
In Conclusion...

That is every achievement in the game! I hope I didn't miss anything, and please let me know if I did or if I got any information wrong.

I really hope this guide helps you 100% the game, and I hope you have a good day <3

Really important note this guide doesn’t mention:

If you have family sharing for this game;
Complete the game on the account that it was bought on FIRST.

If another account completes an achievement you can no longer get said achievement because family sharing bugs this game.

Sacrificing followers has always been bugged for me. I have sacrificed, I’d say, maybe 15 followers in total, and I still haven’t received the achievement. The support team is absolutely terrible and has ignored three of my requests to have it looked into.
