Basics
This guide contains tips and tricks not everyone knows about for each minigame!
If there's something I forgot about, put it in the comments below!
This guide will not contain walkthroughs about how to progress the story or get achievements.

If you want a walkthrough about how to progress the story, including how to get both endings, see my other guide!

#1 Rule: Read Tutorials (and listen to dialogue)
If you go into a new minigame and get jumpscared without knowing why, 9/10 times the reason is "because you didn't read the tutorial". You might think "oh this one is just the same thing but harder, I know what I'm doing", but some subsequent versions of minigames have new mechanics that the tutorial explains. So swallow your pride, and just read the tutorials.

Also for some reason, as opposed to Help Wanted 1, Steel wool removed the "pull trigger" prompt on tutorials, which is terrible for new players because they don't know how to read the other pages. So if you want to read the other pages of the tutorial, pull your trigger to change pages.
In addition to reading tutorials, LISTEN to whoever is talking to you at the start of the minigame.

DO NOT get youtuber-brained and ignore everything, then complain about not knowing what to do.

If you want to replay something a character has said at the start of the minigame, for example, Head Chef Bot in El Chip's, go back to the Hub and replay the game from there by pressing the 'Tutorial' button.
Backstage
Arts and Crafts
- There are numbers on the paint cans that correspond to the numbers on the reference.
- Arts and Crafts: Loft, the 'hard mode' version, is actually overall easier than Arts and Crafts: Daycare. The second and third parts of Loft don't have a timer, so you can take as much time to recharge the flashlight as much as you want.
- Loft also works similarly to Breaker Room - the only time you are actually in danger is when Moon is the closest to you and leaning over your desk

Salon
- The list of accessories are generally in the same order as they would be equipped from the top down. For example, accessories that are put on the head like wigs and hats are always the top slot. This doesn't apply to Roxy Repair, where the last slot is an additional slot for an eye.
- You can't mix the makeup colors, so the cup of water and cleaning your brush is literally pointless.
- Take a step back and to either side to be able to look at both Roxy and the reference/makeup at the same time.
- MY GOD why does no one know how a walkie talkie works? Hold the button down and let the voice line play to calm Roxy.
- Pay close attention to the accessory reference in Roxy Repair. It tells you what side an eye should be on with arrows.

Fazcade
Bonk-A-Bon
- The points matter way less than getting rid of the Plushbabies. If you just focus on that, and play more casually, you will naturally have enough points to win.

DJ Music Time
- You should be able to hear very loud sound cues from the mini music men on either side of you. They either make cymbal or drum sounds. There is no need to distract yourself by looking at them. You hear them? Just point and flash. If you are having trouble hearing them, your audio is broken in some way. They are extremely loud.
- The Mini Music Man who climbs up on the console in front of you doesn't jumpscare you, and will only stomp over the controls to block you from using them.

Bonnie Bowl
- Plushbabies make your bowling ball bigger.
- If you are having trouble bowling straight when underhanding, try throwing the bowling ball like a dart.
- Enjoy trying to get a Turkey.

Fazerblast
- Do you have trouble throwing balls? Well lucky you! You don't actually need to throw any! Just use the fazerblaster and dart gun and you will still have a high enough score to not get jumpscared. The only time you actually "need" to throw balls is if you are doing the secret ending: In which case, you only need to throw balls at Foxy in FNAF2 (optional) and Springtrap in FNAF3.
- In Fazerblast: FNAF 2, you need to see animatronics on the cams for them to then appear in front of you or in the vents. Checking the vents or office lights without seeing an animatronic on cams first is useless.
- Withered Foxy appears in Parts & Service in CAM08, Toy Freddy appears in CAM10. Everyone else appears in the vents. CAM07 is useless.
- When seeing Freddy or Foxy, DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING and the camera will lower by itself.
- The Puppet arms that appear on the rank gauge don't actually prevent your rank from increasing like it implies. It actually just hides what your true rank is if your rank is over halfway up.
- Only one animatronic can appear at one time. If there's no one in the vents, that means Freddy or Foxy has appeared.

Staff Only
Cold Storage
- This is essentially the most tutorial level in the game. There's no way people would be stuck on this, right? Oh wait-
- When Freddy's endo starts chomping too fast, cool down the endo itself with the heat gun. The endo is what you are cooling in this minigame, not his casing. Which logically makes sense, that the endo produces heat, not the casing.

First Aid
- Are you confused as to why an animatronic keeps coming even though you're not making noise? For some reason it seems everyone's knowledge of Pizza Sim (as well as Sister Location, see Ballora Gallery below), has been erased. Just like in Pizza Sim, you not only need to be quiet, but you also need to look down a vent to prevent an animatronic from jumping out.
- Don't do things too fast, such as hurting Helpy and putting the mask on him at the exact same time. This makes the game confused on what state Helpy is in and if you're "making noise" or not.
- Follow the monitor's instructions, or Helpy will scream more than necessary. For example, only spray his eyes ONCE when needed.
- If you do things gently instead of just smashing him, Helpy will usually not scream.
- If something isn't working, the answer is not to try smashing him harder. Stop.
- If you know what certain injuries look like, you don't need to scan Helpy to treat them.
- You can rotate the table Helpy is lying on. It is insane the amount of people who don't realize this.
- The scanner needs to be close to helpy to work.
- You need to scan the areas indicated on the left monitor. The right monitor just indicates you need to scan Helpy in general, not his eyes.
- Only put the mask on Helpy if he screams. If you try to do it beforehand, the mask will just fall off.
- Installing a new eye will instantly stop Helpy screaming.
- Think sawing off his skull or leg takes too long? Use long strokes instead of short ones.

Fizzy Faz
- A lot of people are confused as to how Fizzy Faz works. A blue button means everything is normal. A blinking yellow button means that STAFF needs a break or Chica is there interrupting them. A solid yellow button means they are currently on a break. A blinking blue button means you've pressed the double-time button and they are currently making ingredients faster (the monitor also displays the double-time icon in the corner when the camera selected is the one you have used the double-time button on).
- Trashing multiple ingredients for Chica does nothing, do not trash more than you have to.
- When the double-time button is pressed, that STAFF bot will continue making ingredients faster until they ask for a break or are put on a break. You do not need to keep pressing it or holding it.
- Until Night 5, you can wait until the last second to send orders so that your resources can fill up. Don't forget to trash ingredients before they reach max fill to prevent contamination and Chica from Night 4+.
- From Night 2 onwards, you will need to give STAFF breaks. All you need to do is give them a break as soon as they ask for it. If three or more need a break at once, you can use a lockdown to essentially give them all breaks at once, similar to using the Reset All button in FNAF3.
- Do not give breaks to STAFF who don't need one.
- On Night 5, I do not recommend delaying orders too much. You can just stay in the rhythm of doing an order, then trashing the highest ingredient(s) for Chica and so they don't spoil, then doing the next order. Using this method, I've never lost. Give breaks and use the double-time button as needed on the lowest ingredients. I've found Chica doesn't have much of an effect, since you need to trash ingredients anyway to prevent contamination.
- Night 4 is similar except Chica isn't active immediately. You can use this time to easily save up ingredients. Just remember to trash before they reach max fill.
- An order will never have more than three of any one ingredient type, and ingredients fill faster than you think. When trashing for spoilage/Chica, leave one to two empty slots in each ingredient.
- 'Dumping' ingredients is not 'trashing', and so will not lure Chica.
- On Night 4, Chica will become active if you start trashing ingredients (which you will eventually need to do to combat spoilage), otherwise, she automatically becomes active halfway through the night. On Night 5, she is active from the start.
- A scary loud glitchy noise means a STAFF strike is happening and there's one at the window, or Chica's at the window. If you're already looking at the window, they will not appear until you look away, however, they can still jumpscare you.
- If it's obvious that you won't be able to have enough ingredients before the time limit is over, just ignore the order and let the time run out.
- If STAFF need breaks, you should be using the break button as soon as it is off cooldown. Unless no STAFF need breaks, there should never be a time where the button is not on cooldown.

Endo Warehouse
- It's best to just, as the tutorial says, ignore the other endos and just focus on matching the cards. 9/10 times you'll finish the round before they reach you. If you start wasting time looking at endos instead of cards, it will be hard to recover.
- As with all other minigames featuring endos, they all reset after each round.
- Don't forget that you have hints. If you have to stop to think about the positions of cards, just use a hint instead. If you go at the correct speed, you should ONLY be using the camera and looking at endos while waiting for the hint animation to complete.
- In the later rounds, do not try to remember every single tile at once, it will take too much time. Instead, remember only 3-4 pairs and instantly do them. Then after matching them, immediately use a hint to look at the rest of the pairs.
- You cannot press cards too quickly. Leave about a half a second delay between presses.
- Ignore the pictures, only remember the background colors and patterns.

Food Prep
General
- These levels are in fact not bugged. It's, how do you say it? A skill issue. Make sure to check if you need to make a pizza or a pizzarito, and if the drink you need is normal or blended. People often get these wrong repeatedly without realizing, and come to the conclusion that these minigames are bugged.
- Get food ready in advance. The best things to prepare in advance are; drinks for all three minigames, beans/rice/corn in El Chip's, and flattened pizza dough in Pizza Pizza Pizza. You could prepare the mixed drinks in Fazbear Theater, but I never felt the need to since it's extremely easy, for some reason easier than the prior level.
- If you're fast enough, after pressing the bell to send an order, you can steal back items on the tray and the order will still be successful.

Pizza Pizza Pizza
- In the same vein as before, the pizzarito folding machine is not bugged. As the tutorial says, you need to slide the pizza in the slot at the top, not in the gap at the bottom.
- Put the pizza in the topping dispenser, THEN apply toppings.

Fazbear Theater
- As noted before, for some reason Fazbear Theater is easier than the prior level, Pizza Pizza Pizza. Pizza has a lot more complex orders to deal with, and for some reason doesn't give you a single chance to get an order wrong. If you get an order wrong, you are instantly jumpscared. Fazbear Theater that you unlock AFTER Pizza has more simple orders, and you have two strikes before you get jumpscared. The timer also resets after EVERY order.
- The endos in Fazbear Theater are a non-issue, you have to work extremely slowly for them to reach you before you complete an order.

Ticket Booth
Carousel
- Moon has three stages that he advances through before jumpscaring you that line up with the three rings of the carousel.
- Completing one of the first two "stages" will automatically reset Moon without you having to use the flashlight.
- At the beginning before you start working, Moon is not active. You can use this time to spawn multiple fuses/switches, or make circuit boards ahead of time.

Capt. Foxy's Log Ride
- Not much to say here, besides don't annoy Captain Foxy.

Sister Location
Ballora Gallery
- "Just move as fast as possible and you will spend less time waiting since Ballora comes out less since you're taking less time." is misinformation. Ballora comes out based on distance covered if you do not hit the time required first. It does not matter if you go faster at that point if you're activating her based on distance anyway, because she will always become active the same amount of times.
- You do not "need" to be fast or slow, it doesn't really matter.
- Don't move to fast for too long (especially if you have slow reaction time, since Ballora can come out based on distance covered), and don't move fast or for too long when Ballora's music is playing / while her wind-up gear sound is heard. There is some leniency when her music is playing, but not much. That's literally it but I feel I need to say it because it seems Sister Location, just like Pizza Sim has been wiped from everyone's memory.
- If you hear Ballora say "Don't be shy", STOP MOVING! Even if her music is not playing. If you do not fully stop, she will jumpscare you. This is an audio cue to tell you she is listening to you, even if her music isn't playing.
- Minireenas do not jumpscare you in this game, they only allow Ballora to home in exactly on your position if you are close to them. Don't be near them, especially when Ballora is active! Stay away or throw them across the room.
- Holding a Minireena doesn't stop them from broadcasting your position to Ballora, if you're going to throw them, throw them as fast as possible!
- Minireenas have a maximum distance they can move before stopping forever.
- Because of this, the best strategy is to try to notice Minireenas in the distance, then when they start moving toward you, just wait or slowly back away until they stop moving, and then just go around them.
- The sound cue of Ballora saying "I can hear someone creeping through my room" plays when a Minireena is giving away your position. This is also accompanied with the Minireena constantly giggling. When you hear this, try to get away from any nearby Minireenas!
- If a Minireena gives away your position while Ballora is active, Ballora can instantly turn on a dime and quickly head to that position, kicking up dust on the floor as she does.
- Moving too fast causes Ballora to get bugged and never power down. If you hear not her music, but her music box winding sound constantly, she is bugged. You need to restart and go slower. Throwing a couple Minireenas can also fix it.

Breaker Room
- You are actually only in danger if Funtime Freddy / Yenndo does the walk-up animation directly in front of you or to your sides, in which case using the megaphone instantly stops them and prevents your death. This is similar to how Moon behaves in Loft. This is also how you get the achievement for booping Funtime Freddy's nose, you have a lot more time than you think to react.
- Pulling one lever at a time is a waste of time. You can start by pulling two levers to fill the gauges for both single levers AND the double-lever gauge for them at the same time. You will need to pull two levers eventually so only pulling one is a waste of time.

Office
- Animatronics will be invisible on cams if they are not moving toward the office. For example, if Ennard is moving from the left hallway into CAM06, he will not appear on CAM06, and after a delay he will appear on CAM07 if he continues. If he then changes his mind and moves back to CAM06, he will appear on that cam. Essentially, they only appear on CAM06 if they are currently moving left, and CAM07 if they are moving right. And they only appear on hallway cams if they are moving toward the office. Otherwise, they are invisible. This is why characters like Ennard and Funtime Chica seem to randomly disappear from the map.
- Every animatronic besides Ennard leaves instantly after attacking. Ennard waits at the door silently for about 4 seconds before leaving.
- Minireenas can only spawn when you aren't looking.
- If you place the Minireenas on the desk so they're always in your view, they can never despawn, which means they can never respawn to cover buttons.
- Along with the difficulty being neutered, the cams even tell you when the power is being drained with a warning sign.
- Bon Bon takes a while to attack and does an obvious 'rear back' animation before he is thrown at you. You can wait until this animation to close the door/vent to save power.
- The text in the tutorial doesn't explain what to do with Funtime Chica's cupcake, but the image does. Don't give her the cupcake, or she will become Permachica! If you still don't understand what the image is meant to be, the image shows a rectangle with a square on top, with arrows pointing to either side of the rectangle. The rectangle is the desk, and the square is the cams console.
- If you accidentally lose track of Chica and get Permachica, you still might be able to win! Just don't give her the cupcake instantly. She can stay at the door without jumpscaring you for some time, halfway through which, her waiting animation changes - she leans closer and moves her plate closer to you. Use this to keep track of how much time you have left before she jumpscares you, and maximize this time before giving her the cupcake.
- If you move the cupcake to the other side shortly before or during chica's move, she will skip stages. Only move the cupcake right AFTER Chica has moved.
- Funtime Freddy has the same audio cues as in the original Sister Location custom night (eg. a 'surprise' means Bon Bon is attacking from the opposite side Freddy is on), but this is useless since you can just look around in VR to see where Bon Bon is. Ignore Freddy. The only time Freddy can ever even jumpscare you is if you run out of power and no other animatronics get to you for a long enough time.
- Wait until the animatronic is actually coming to the office to shut the doors or vent. Shutting a door a whole stage before the actual attack is a massive waste of power.
- In Job Interview, while playing flashlight tag, Plushbabies will only spawn where you aren't looking.
- You can whip the flashlight around extremely fast without looking to prevent all three plushbabies from moving at once.

Such an amazing & comprehensive guide here Avery! Ballora was really giving me the most issues but thanks to your sound cues guide? I know what i'm doing wrong, Never even knew i could throw the Mini's away either!

Seriously though. My reactions aren't what they used to be in my mid 30's and i'm only into my second year of VR. Love FNAF's and to get the most out of both these hobbies in one? It's so appreciated. I'm curious if you have a similar guide for HW1 however i managed to handle that title a bit easier!

Same with what you say about not being shameful about sucking, read a guide etc. Years i've been used to being more handheld in games but the feeling of achievement in these games in particular are just phenomenal. Means a lot to me now I've finally done Ballora's gallery and learned so much more!

-Awarded points for this stellar review! :VSnake: "You're pretty good!"

Just ignore my last comment, I considered what you said and what was in the guide and I just beat it.
AveryHyena  [author] Feb 5 @ 2:35pm
@BloodCat83 If you need to use it more than three times, you are just bad and need to improve. You can reliably beat this minigame every time. If you struggle to complete it once, just keep trying until you get better. Anyone can complete it if they just practice.
Blood Cat Feb 5 @ 2:29pm
I've been trying to conserve the reset all button because you can only use it 3 times
AveryHyena  [author] Feb 5 @ 2:25pm
@BloodCat83 As the guide says, "If three or more need a break at once, you can use a lockdown to essentially give them all breaks at once, similar to using the Reset All button in FNAF3."
If you are having trouble with managing Staff in Fizzy Faz, try watching the video at the top of the guide. There is also a flatscreen version in the HW2 playlist. If you are running out of ingredients and Staff, you are just not being efficient enough throughout the whole night. You just have to get better.
Blood Cat Feb 5 @ 2:10pm
and too your other comment most of the time they where tipped on the edge so more than or about half of the drink was off the tray
Blood Cat Feb 5 @ 2:07pm
But I am having trouble on Fizzy Faz Night 5, I'm doing all the tricks of dumping them and using the break and double-time buttons but (this happens a lot) 2-3 stations need breaks at the same time then more stations need breaks and I don't have enough ingredients/and or I don't have enough time to complete the orders so I get jumpscared by the S.T.A.F.F bot.
AveryHyena  [author] Feb 5 @ 2:04pm
@BloodCat83 I hope you mean they fell down off of the tray, because whether they are tipped over or upright doesn't affect anything. All that matters is that they are on the tray when you press the bell.
Blood Cat Feb 5 @ 2:02pm
I realized my problem, so i'm playing in flat mode and when I placed the drinks sometimes they fell down so to counter act my problem I kept placing the drinks until they were upright.
AveryHyena  [author] Feb 4 @ 3:35pm
@BloodCat83 There are currently no bugs for orders being incorrectly validated. You are getting *something* wrong, whether you realize it or not. If you want, you can record it, and I will tell you what is causing the order to fail.
